The meringue-like shape is so pretty I almost didn't want to use it. As someone with extremely dry skin, I struggle with flaky patches and makeup not sitting well, especially in winter. After using this for a week, I noticed a significant reduction in dead skin cells and even some of my small bumps disappeared! The blemish scars from acne also seemed to fade. My skin feels incredibly soft, and when I cleanse with this before applying makeup, it creates the perfect canvas. I believe it also has brightening properties, as my complexion looks more radiant and clearer after each use. I absolutely recommend this to anyone dealing with dry, flaky skin or blemishes!
ConsWhile I don't have any major complaints, those with super sensitive skin might experience a slight tingling sensation when first using it. Just be mindful of that, and you should be able to see great results.
TipAs this cleansing balm is called a 'Pack Cleanser', I recommend applying it generously to your face and leaving it on for 1-2 minutes like a mask. This method leaves your skin feeling incredibly soft and smooth!

Noticeably, only the cleansed area became more supple, and there was a clear improvement in dryness. As described, it's an all-in-one product that helps with exfoliation, hydration, and pore care. When I cleansed my face while gently rolling the mung bean particles, I could feel it working on my pores! Gentle texture: The soft, meringue-like foam spreads easily on the skin without irritation. You can think of it as having a texture similar to a cleansing balm! I loved how my skin still felt moisturized after cleansing! Refreshing scent: The fresh scent of pink aloe makes cleansing a pleasant experience, and it lingers subtly afterward, leaving you feeling refreshed. I absolutely adored this fragrance and couldn't stop sniffing it!
ConsPackaging drawbacks: As with most balm-type products, storage can be a bit challenging. Sometimes water gets in, and it's always a bit tricky to store properly.
TipThe pink part contains aloe, while the green part has mung bean. I've been customizing my skincare by applying the green part to my nose area and the pink part to my cheeks, depending on what my skin needs!

Pores aren't large, but there's significant sebum production in the T-zone and chin (blackheads & whiteheads). The texture is incredibly unique. It's called a meringue soap, and it starts off feeling soft and jelly-like. When you apply it to your face like a mask, it transforms, bubbling up as if it's creating a meringue foam. You really have to try it to understand! I'm thrilled with the results. No blemishes after use, which is a big win. I used it as an evening mask when my skin needed soothing after dealing with some large blemishes on my forehead and cheeks, and some in the temple area. The next morning, I noticed the large blemishes on my cheeks and forehead had reduced, and only redness remained in the temple area. Amazing! The mung bean and soybean scrub ingredients help exfoliate dead skin cells while the meringue foam seems to draw out sebum and impurities. It's a 2-in-1 product - both a mask and a cleanser. Love that it gently exfoliates. The high concentration of aloe, famous for its hydrating and soothing properties, is a big plus. The natural exfoliants like mung bean and soybean are reassuring. It comes in two colors - pink aloe and centella asiatica. This product seems serious about skin soothing. Aloe gel masks are trendy, but I found them time-consuming and inconvenient. This only takes a minute (you can even brush your teeth while it's on!). As my first April Skin product, I'm incredibly satisfied and plan to repurchase when I run out.
ConsWhile it's great as is, I'd love to see it in a more convenient tube format! (Though I wonder if the texture might become too thick to squeeze out easily depending on the temperature.)
TipIf your skin doesn't typically react well to aloe, make sure to patch test first!

The best thing about this product is how amazingly well it lathers! Maybe because it's meringue-like, but the rich, creamy foam is incredibly abundant - that's what I loved most. There are tiny granules in the foam that are effective at removing sebum! I appreciated that it's non-comedogenic, so it won't clog pores. The scent is slightly apple-like. While I personally prefer fragrance-free products due to ingredients, I actually liked this scent, so it was fine to use. After cleansing, my skin didn't feel dry but nicely hydrated! When I opened the product, I loved how it looked like ice cream - so pretty!
ConsWell, the container was the most inconvenient part. It was a bit cumbersome having to open it with wet hands, use a spatula to scoop out the product, etc. While there wasn't anything particularly disappointing, there also wasn't anything extraordinarily impressive either, which is a bit of a letdown.
TipThe moisturizing finish is nice, but in the sweaty, humid summer, I find myself reaching for products that leave my skin feeling squeaky clean. This product might be better suited for transitional seasons or winter!

With skincare products and cleansers, if they don't suit my skin within 5 minutes of application, I experience itching, tingling, and immediate blemishes. The best thing about April Skin's Pink Aloe Meringue Shop is that it causes absolutely no issues for my super sensitive skin! It's perfect for exfoliating, soothing, and can even be used as a mask. After cleansing, my skin feels moisturized without any deep dryness. I trust April Skin's ingredients completely. Rather than being thick, it goes on smoothly like meringue, true to its name. The cleansing effectiveness is great too! I tested it with Tony Moly's long-lasting tint and Clio's stubborn eyeliner. It gently removed them both - once without water, just wiping, and the second time with water, it removed everything completely. I can vouch for its cleansing power!
ConsThe scent might be a matter of personal preference. After using it for a few weeks, some days I liked it, but other days, as I have a sensitive nose, I found it a bit overwhelming.
TipIf you massage it without water and wipe off with a tissue, then apply again with water, it removes makeup completely.

As soon as I opened it, I instantly understood why it's called a meringue soap - the texture is as soft and glossy as a perfectly whipped meringue, which I found incredibly appealing. Using the built-in spatula, I scooped out a spoonful and applied it to my skin. The gentle exfoliating particles felt amazing as they cleansed my skin. After massaging it in for about a minute and rinsing with lukewarm water, it lathered up beautifully, effortlessly removing my makeup. What I loved most was how it cleansed thoroughly without irritating my skin. But the real highlight came after rinsing - instead of that tight, dry feeling, my skin felt as soft and hydrated as a baby's, with a lovely fresh sensation. That's definitely this product's best feature. From the packaging to the final result, whether for your eyes or skin, this meringue soap is completely satisfying. I highly recommend it!
ConsThe only downside was that due to a long business trip, I opened the product a bit late. So I didn't get to use it as extensively as I would have liked, which is personally disappointing. However, from the brief time I've used it, I'm extremely satisfied. There's not much to criticize about this excellent product, but I should mention it does have a noticeable scent. This might be a matter of personal preference. That said, the subtle lingering fragrance after use is quite pleasant.
TipAs someone who travels frequently for work and wears makeup daily, it's challenging to maintain a proper cleansing and mask routine every day. When I'm on business trips, I can decant some of this product into a smaller container. It's fantastic because it serves as both a daily cleanser and a mask, making it incredibly convenient while still delivering great results.

This new Pink Aloe line caught my attention and I was excited to try it. When I first opened the lid, I was impressed by the beautiful combination of pink and green, and the thoughtful design of the product's texture. They called it a meringue texture, but it was actually a solid balm consistency. Following the instructions, I used a spatula to apply it, spread it on my face, and left it for 1-2 minutes as a mask. Even though my skin was acting up due to my menstrual cycle, I experienced no irritation during use. Surprisingly, it even seemed to calm my angry blemishes, despite my skin usually not responding well to aloe. I later found out it contains centella asiatica extract, which might explain the soothing effect. I noticed it effectively removed some glitter that my first cleanse had missed. The cleansing effectiveness is quite good. Overall, I'm satisfied as it didn't leave my skin feeling dry after cleansing.
ConsWhen I massaged it with water, it created an overwhelming amount of foam. I was taken aback at first - every breath created more bubbles! Perhaps it's due to the enzymes? This could be both a pro and a con, but you really need to be careful with the amount you use! I recommend applying a thin layer. I read that it also exfoliates due to the mung bean content, but I couldn't really tell if that was the case.

It applies smoothly, so you can cover your entire face with less product than expected. Start with a small amount and add more as needed, rather than using too much at once! Feel: As a mask, it's meant to be left on for just a minute. I was skeptical at first, but even with my extremely dry skin, my face didn't feel tight after use - that was the most satisfying part! It leaves your skin feeling cleansed without being dry. Scent: The subtle floral-herbal fragrance makes using this product a pleasant experience. Design: Not only is the outer pink packaging beautiful, but the product itself has a gorgeous gradient that almost makes you reluctant to use it. The inclusion of an inner cap and spatula is such a thoughtful touch!
ConsIf you prefer a squeaky-clean feeling after cleansing, you might want to look for a different product. This one leaves your skin feeling clean yet moisturized!

It's great that this product can be used for both cleansing and as a mask. Initially, I used it as a mask without water, then gently massaged it with a bit of water. However, the granules made my sensitive facial skin turn red. Be sure to use plenty of water when massaging it on your face. The granules work wonders for exfoliating body skin - I applied it with a body brush during baths and found it more effective than regular body cleansers. After applying sunscreen and makeup over my skincare, this product alone couldn't remove everything in one go. I recommend using it after an initial cleanse with cleansing oil. When washing with hands, use a small amount and rinse thoroughly to avoid a slippery feeling. I found using a cleansing sponge left my skin feeling refreshed.
ConsThe inconvenience of having to open the lid and deal with an inner cover is a drawback. A soft squeeze tube would have been more user-friendly.
TipI've tried it as a mask, facial cleanser, and body cleanser. It works great as a body cleanser when applied with a body brush, effectively removing dead skin cells. For the face, I finish with a cleansing sponge.

Due to a sudden change in my routine after starting school and using scrub products, my skin has become sensitive to irritation. Dry skin with acne - it's truly the worst combination... No irritation ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ True to its name 'Meringue Soap', it's incredibly gentle. I have a separate cleansing foam, so I used this as a mask. It's mild, non-irritating, and effective for calming the skin. When I use it as a mask in the morning, I can feel my skin becoming soft and smooth! It's also convenient to use as you only need to leave it on for 1-2 minutes before rinsing. Cooling effect ⭐️⭐️⭐️ There's a subtle cooling effect when applied to the skin. However, as you spread it with your hands, the warmth from your fingers quickly transfers to your skin... Dead skin cell removal ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ While it may not be as effective as products specifically designed for exfoliation, it's perfect for those like me who need to remove dead skin cells but have sensitive skin. It's surprisingly effective at exfoliation considering how gentle it is! Fragrance ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ It has a soft floral scent. I personally liked it, but those who dislike fragranced cleansing products might not be fans. Packaging ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The shape when you open the lid is so pretty, it's healing just to look at it! Of course, it gets messed up quickly once you start using it.
ConsQuantity 😢 I took that photo after using it three times, and at this rate, it seems like it'll be gone in a month or two... ((I might be using too much!)) The value for money seems a bit low. Cleansing 😢 I wouldn't recommend it for makeup removal. It's better suited for morning cleansing to remove impurities.
