I tried the sky blue Serenity and then this one, and I have to say the texture and staying power of Serenity are better. My body is fair, but my face suffers from chronic redness, making it look dark and reddish. I can't use regular foundation; I need to brighten my face to match my body tone first. Just using a light foundation alone means I'd have to cake it on to cover the reddish tone. I've found that color correcting to even out my skin tone first, then applying a base works best without looking heavy. Anyway, Serenity definitely gives a whiter tone-up effect. This one does brighten quite a bit, but being greenish, it might not give a pretty tone on its own unless you have severe redness. For average skin, it's not ideal for solo use. That said, it's not green enough for spot correcting or significant color correction. So, for people like me with widespread severe redness, it's best used all over, with a more intense corrector on problem areas like cheeks. If you just want to cover redness, you might be better off using a yellow/ivory-toned foundation with good coverage. The texture is a bit runny and tends to separate. It's not quite dewy, but not matte either - you might be disappointed if you compare it to Serenity. It feels somewhat in-between. I've tried all kinds of tools for applying primers and base makeup, but hands are the best. Using a sponge tends to absorb too much product. - lo*********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessRecommendedJun 27, 2025
I've been using this for two weeks due to my redness issues, and I'm thrilled to see my skin looking noticeably less flushed! The brightening moisturizer gives a natural finish and applies thinly, which I love. When I layer this under my cushion foundation, I experience less darkening compared to before. It sets too quickly, making it difficult to apply. It feels a bit stiff when spreading on the face, doesn't glide on smoothly, and tends to clump slightly. After continued use, I noticed my pores became more enlarged and my skin texture roughened. For a smoother application, try mixing it with a bit of moisturizer. I think it could work well as a base even before applying a darker cushion foundation. - pa********Normal SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedJun 22, 2025
I bought this product because I've always been concerned about redness. After testing several green bases, I chose this one because it doesn't pill, keeps my skin hydrated, offers great value for money, and doesn't look cakey. On days when I don't feel like wearing a full face of makeup, I just apply this and go about my day. The only downside I've noticed so far is that the container is too large to carry around easily. I found that applying this over S Nature cream helps it absorb even better, leaving my skin feeling firm and supple. - he***********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedJun 15, 2025
I saw this product highly recommended on YouTube, so I decided to give it a try, and it turned out to be pretty good. It seemed to even out my complexion nicely. If you apply it carefully to areas with redness, it can cover most of the ruddiness! It pills. Even when I patted it with a puff, it rolled up like dead skin cells. Also, if you don't control the amount well, your face can look too pale. It feels like your face doesn't match the rest of you. Put a small amount on the back of your hand, then dab just a tiny bit on your fingertip. Use a spatula to spread it very, very thinly. - wn*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsMay 7, 2025
It's absolutely incredible at reducing redness. Highly recommended for those dealing with flushing! I apply my skincare, then sunscreen, this primer, and foundation... but when I use this primer, my makeup pills. The foundation comes off in little bits, like dirt. I recommend gently patting on any products you apply after this one. - ad*********Combination SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedMay 7, 2025
First off, I've been using this product for 5 months on my dry skin, and I love how the mint color naturally neutralizes redness, making my complexion much more even before makeup. Despite having dry skin, it applies moisturizing and keeps my face comfortable all day without any deep dryness. True to its primer function, it smoothly fills in pores and fine lines, resulting in a more flawless base makeup. With SPF33/PA++, it offers sun protection, making it perfect for daily use. I'm really satisfied that it maintains an even finish without pilling, even after hours of wear. The formula is a bit runny, making it tricky to control the amount at first - if you apply too much, it can make your face look pale. While the mint color is great for neutralizing redness, you need to blend it evenly to avoid patchy areas or an ashy appearance. Although it's moisturizing, it might not be enough on its own for very dry skin in winter, so a solid skincare routine is necessary for a beautiful makeup application. Lastly, while it's a primer, its pore-covering ability isn't super strong, which might disappoint those looking for intensive pore coverage. To avoid a white, unnatural look, it's crucial to apply thin layers, starting with a small amount on the back of your hand. Focus on areas with redness like cheeks and around the nose first, then blend the remaining product evenly across your face. For dry skin, proper hydration before makeup is key. Prep your skin with hydrating skincare or a moisturizing primer for a smooth, non-pilling application. After applying with your hands, pat it in with a puff or brush for better adherence and a more even finish, especially around pores. Since it already evens out your skin tone, go for a light base makeup for the most natural and flawless look. Be careful not to layer heavy-coverage foundation on top, as it might cause caking. Lastly, while this product has SPF33/PA++ and can be used alone for indoor days, it's best to apply a separate sunscreen for extensive outdoor activities. - im******Combination SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessMay 6, 2025
It definitely brightens the complexion and does a great job with color correction I developed blemishes and my skin reacted badly, likely due to the poor ingredients. My skin flared up not long after I started using it - so********Normal SkinApr 26, 2025
At first, I thought this product was great But after using it, I got so many blemishes. I guess it's because the ingredients aren't that good. I probably won't use it again It's disappointing when a product doesn't live up to initial expectations - al**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedApr 23, 2025
While it doesn't provide full coverage like foundation or concealer, I noticed it really effectively evens skin tone and reduces redness. The complexion-evening effect was great too. The adherence varies depending on skin condition, but when your skin is in good shape, it gives a semi-matte finish that feels like it's clinging perfectly to your skin. It's fantastic to use before applying cushion foundation. Since it depends so much on your skin condition, when your skin isn't at its best, it tends to pill excessively, doesn't cover well, and can look very cakey. Also, if you don't control the amount properly, it can make your skin look too pale. - ke****Dehydrated SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRednessApr 16, 2025
It keeps my skin moisturized, so it doesn't crack or get flaky... That's about the only good thing I can say about it. I tried using it with a puff to cover up redness on my cheeks, but it wouldn't stick to the most flushed areas and kept coming off. Even applying it with a brush had the same result - it just wouldn't stay put. What's worse, when I layered foundation on top, instead of naturally concealing the redness, it made my skin look sickly green, like I was some kind of alien! This happened even when I applied it very thinly. Also, if you don't use it for a while, it dries up, forcing you to waste the first pump each time.
