While I can't speak to its brightening effects, the fragrance is gentle and I've been using it all winter long to keep my skin hydrated! It was a bit disappointing that the product would occasionally leak a little from the opening

This is the ampoule I've been using lately! It's incredibly gentle, absorbs well, and doesn't feel heavy on the skin. Since it has brightening effects, I usually apply it before bed. When I wake up, my skin looks so much better! Highly recommended! I can't think of any downsides. I'm extremely satisfied with this product.
