It's quite rich and causes significant eye discomfort. Even the slightest contact with my eyes makes them water. This seems better suited for those with dry skin. My eyes tear up at the slightest touch - it's so frustrating! It feels overly greasy to me. The product appears to have a high oil content, which may be beneficial for those with dry skin types. However, it seems to cause irritation and excessive tearing when it comes into contact with the eyes. This suggests it might not be suitable for those with sensitive eyes or those who prefer lighter formulations. Always patch test new products, especially around delicate areas like the eyes, to avoid potential discomfort or allergic reactions. - db******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinApr 24, 2025
No positives. The artificial green color leaves a temporary glow. To be honest, I bought the full set after seeing it heavily advertised by a famous Instagram influencer. I had already checked the ingredients, but the power of advertising is scary - they praised it so much and even mentioned expanding to Thailand, so I decided to give it a try. Sadly, Hwahae doesn't lie. After just one day of use, I developed a rash. At first, it seemed fine, but as time passed, I noticed redness and red spots (likely an allergic reaction) appearing. The scent that hits you when you open the product is particularly bothersome - it's reminiscent of old-fashioned, headache-inducing fragrances you'd find in your mother's cosmetics. It's definitely not a mild aroma; instead, it's an overwhelmingly artificial perfume-like smell. It feels like applying perfume directly to your face. While I might be sensitive, seeing my skin condition worsen suddenly when it was previously good makes this product unusable for me. I suspect even those with good skin would see it deteriorate with continued use. Seohae Sol should seriously reconsider their formulation. I want my $200 back... It's frustrating to pay full price for ingredients like these. If you must buy it, only do so during group buying events to save money. - bl**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresMar 26, 2025
I heard this ampoule contains many types of peptides. Initially, I experienced some blemishes and needed an adjustment period. After adapting, I used it well, but it doesn't provide enough hydration on its own, so it needs to be used with other ampoules. I probably won't repurchase it. It feels quite rich, and the fact that it needs to be used with other ampoules is a downside. Also, it makes my eyes sting. - nk*****Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedNov 18, 2024
I have sensitive skin. I started by mixing it with other products gradually as recommended for the initial adjustment period. It gives a nice glow, and while I'm not sure about the ingredients, it seems to work well for dry skin. However, I'm a bit concerned about the ingredient list. Personally, I find the scent disappointing. The quantity isn't very generous. It stings my eyes. When applied before makeup, it gives a luminous glow. - jo********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsRecommendedAug 8, 2024
As someone with super sensitive skin, I mixed this with the Seohae-sol barrier cream before bed. When I woke up, it had absorbed beautifully, and my skin texture was noticeably improved! At this point, I can't really think of any drawbacks. I'm quite satisfied with it and continue to use it regularly. It's a great idea to purchase this when it's available through the Kang Sisters' group buy deals! - hk*****Combination SkinJun 23, 2024
The scent? The case is convenient. There's nothing good! It's ruining my skin! I bought this product because it was heavily advertised on Instagram... I purchased the set, but whenever I apply it, tiny bumps appear all over. This is the first time I've ever had such a reaction to a product I've applied. - qh*******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJun 15, 2024
I'm not sure... The only good thing might be the pretty color of the ampoule? The ingredients are so disappointing that I can't really say anything positive about it... I bought this after seeing rave reviews on Instagram claiming it was amazing for blemishes and fine lines. As someone with combination dehydrated skin prone to deep dryness, no cystic acne, and super sensitive skin that flares up during seasonal changes or when I'm not feeling well, I purchased the 4-piece set. After using it in the evening, my skin felt less dry the next morning, so I thought 'Oh, this seems good!' and bought another set before the group buy ended. But things went downhill from there... 1. The next day, I developed clusters of tiny pimple-like bumps (not quite milia) and redness appeared. 2. By afternoon after use, my skin felt dry with white flakes around my mouth and chin (despite regular exfoliation and using a cleansing device). 3. The eye irritation was unbearable... My eyes were constantly tearing up. Even avoiding the eye area didn't help. My sister tried it too and had the same reaction, so it wasn't just due to my contact lens use. After stopping use and returning to my usual products for 3-4 days, my skin calmed down. The product was so disappointing that I read through all the reviews on their site and searched Naver, but couldn't find anyone with similar symptoms. Everyone was just raving about it... I thought maybe it was just my condition, so I tried again, but the same issues occurred. Thinking my skin might need time to adjust after using my previous skincare for so long, I persevered for about a week. But with no improvement, I went back to my old routine and my skin finally settled. When I searched on Hwahae, this was the only ampoule that came up, but the ingredients are just... sigh. I always check Hwahae before buying cosmetics, but at that time this brand wasn't even registered there. If you have sensitive skin, please avoid this product... It's really not worth the trouble. Make sure to avoid applying it around your eyes.
