I am a cheilitis patient. I can't live without this. While struggling to find the right lip balm, this was released, and after checking the ingredients, it looked good, so I bought it!
At the time, my cheilitis had worsened to the point where it was a mess with oozing. Thanks to this lip balm, the oozing has stopped for a long time now, and my lips have returned to a relatively normal state! The swelling has also mostly gone down.
For me, who used to feel a stinging sensation even with Vaseline, this lip balm is the only one that doesn't sting.

As for the lip balm usage method that cheilitis patients can refer to:
1. Even though it's a stick-type lip balm, I softened it by rubbing it a lot with my fingers before applying the amount on my fingers to my lips.
-> Cheilitis patients are sensitive to irritation, so if you apply it directly from the stick, the friction can cause redness.

2. When applying the amount on your fingers, try to do it in as few touches as possible (lightly press the long amount on your finger onto the lower and upper lips once).
-> When I tried to apply it thoroughly, the viscosity of the lip balm caused thin, invisible flakes to fall off, and the outer edges of my lips started growing unevenly. At first, I didn't realize it, but the uneven parts wouldn't heal, and they just got redder, so that's when I noticed.
Especially after washing your face, when your lips are less dry, the flakes will come off more easily, so I recommend applying it when your lips are completely dry.

3. Don't apply it all over your lips constantly (if your lips feel moist and damp even after the water has dried, you should take a break for a few days until the flakes are fully dry).
-> If the flakes get damp from the lip balm, the ones that shouldn't fall off yet are more likely to do so prematurely, making your lips more sensitive.
And the oozing was mainly coming from the big flakes inside, which was caused by my habit of applying the lip balm too thickly, making the inside too moist. I realized this during the week when the oozing was at its worst, and by adjusting the application based on the situation, the next cycle extended from a week to a month.Personally, I only apply the lip balm when my lips are dry and uncomfortable, with flakes that bother me. I don't apply it constantly.
I only apply it to the specific areas that are red and dry, or painful due to dryness (usually the corners of my mouth), but not all over my lips.

The most important things are moisturization and not being overly glossy, and I was really quite satisfied. It's not a sudden burst of moisture, but the moisturizing power lasts just as long as when I first applied it. Moreover, high-end lip care products around 30,000-40,000 won can be a bit too glossy, but this one doesn't have that issue at all, so it worked great as a basic base before applying a nicely pigmented lipstick on top.
The ingredients are also gentle, so I can apply it worry-free to my 4-year-old daughter as well.
I've always thought Nivea was the strongest for lip care in the winter, but starting this fall, I'll have to switch to this one.
