Scent ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It smells just like homemade rice bran masks. Reminds me of when I used to make them because someone said they were good for the skin. I love this kind of grainy scent, similar to Papa Recipe's powder foam. The honey scent isn't too strong. 2. Application ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Spreads easily with just your hands. It goes on evenly all over the face. You don't need to apply it too thick. 3. Easy to rinse off ⭐⭐⭐⭐ After 5-10 minutes, the surface dries and that's when you should rinse it off. It washes away easily with gentle rinsing. However, since it's a wash-off mask and dries slightly, you do need to rinse thoroughly, which can be a bit inconvenient. Because it has granules, I wash it off gently without scrubbing too hard. Overall ⭐⭐⭐⭐ I would definitely repurchase. However, I took off one star because it's a wash-off mask and can be a hassle to rinse. This experience has made me like the Joseon Beauty brand. Their moisturizing rice sunscreen is apparently an Amazon bestseller, so I'm planning to try it this summer. Price: 18,000 won Best to buy when it's discounted to around 15,000 won Volume: 150ml Should be enough for about 10 uses At around 1,500 won per use, it's not too expensive.
ConsBe careful with irritation! The granules are quite large and firm. So don't apply too much pressure or try to use it as a scrub... If you use it for exfoliation, it might be too harsh on your skin. After applying and rinsing off, my skin felt less dry and more smooth compared to after using a cleansing foam. However, I didn't see much improvement in terms of pores or brightening... After application, I felt a stinging sensation around my philtrum and mouth area, either from dryness or skin tightness. Maybe that's why they recommend avoiding the mouth and eye area? It felt a bit slippery when rinsing off. Be careful to rinse gently due to the gritty particles.
TipTry applying a niacinamide serum before the mask. After rinsing off, your skin will feel soft and smooth, like you've had a professional treatment. I bought 500ml of niacinamide serum because people said it was good, but it was too irritating for my skin to use overnight. Using it with this wash-off mask works great because I rinse it off. I'm happy I can now use up the product I bought, and it's even more effective this way!

It transforms dry and flaky skin into a moisturized, supple complexion that feels bouncy to the touch!
ConsIf you leave the mask on for too long, it can harden on your face. When washing it off, be careful not to scrub carelessly, as the hardened rice bran particles might scratch your skin and cause a tingling sensation.
TipIf the mask becomes too hard on your face, try dampening your skin with water before cleansing. This will soften the mask, making it easier and more comfortable to remove!

I think I'll need to take a two-week break before using it again.
ConsThere's some irritation... It stings a bit. It has a fermented rice wine scent that might be hit or miss for some people.

It's a product I've had my eye on for a while. I'm a fan of cosmetics made from grains, and this wash-off mask contains rice wine lees, rice bran powder, and honey. The scent is reminiscent of rice wine, with subtle notes of grains. The texture is cream-like but feels a bit heavier. With the rice bran powder, it seems promising for dead skin cell removal. After use, I was pleased to notice my skin looked brighter.
ConsHowever, I experienced a burning and tingling sensation immediately after applying it to my skin. Because of this, I don't think I'll be able to use it frequently. Please keep in mind that individual experiences may vary.

When I gently roll it with a bit of water to wash it off, my skin feels moisturized and my complexion looks more refined.
ConsMy skin isn't particularly sensitive, but I experienced a slight tingling sensation during the first few uses.

After using it, I didn't feel any dryness, and my face felt so soft and smooth. It was great that it came with a spatula!
ConsThe scent might be quite divisive - I personally didn't like it. After applying, I felt a tingling sensation as time passed. When I looked up other reviews, I found quite a few people who also experienced this tingling.
TipIt's probably best to apply a thin layer on your face, not too thick.

My complexion became brighter and more radiant. The first photo is before, and the second is after. I've tried other products too, but I think this one was quite effective in its own way!
ConsHowever, I wouldn't recommend this for those with super sensitive skin. My skin isn't particularly sensitive, and I could tolerate the scrub-like exfoliation, but it did sting quite a bit when I first applied it. Also, the scent was a bit strong. If you're sensitive to fragrances or have sensitive skin, I'd suggest reconsidering before purchasing.

First off, the packaging is pretty, and it comes with a spatula inside which was convenient. Since I have sensitive skin, I was worried about potential blemishes, so I tested it on the back of my hand first. Thankfully, it didn't cause any irritation, which was great. The granules weren't as thick as I expected, so there wasn't much of a tingling sensation, but on days when my skin was extra sensitive, I could feel it a bit...? The product itself is incredibly hydrating, and true to its description of being 'honey-infused', it felt like applying a rich, syrupy cream. The scent is neither particularly good nor bad - just a typical cosmetic fragrance. After rinsing, there's a slight lingering scent, but again, it's just a standard cosmetic smell. While it doesn't dramatically improve skin appearance or make blemishes disappear instantly, it does keep the skin hydrated for a long time, and it eliminated any dry or flaky feeling. Instead of frequent use, I think it's best to use this 1-3 times a week depending on your skin condition! I'm very satisfied!
ConsThe spatula isn't built-in, so it was a bit of a hassle to store it separately. Also, even though the granules are fine, if you have sensitive skin or depending on your skin condition that day, you might feel a slight tingling sensation. In those cases, I didn't rub it in and just rinsed it off with water immediately.

Application: Unlike some wash-off masks that feel stiff when applying, this one spreads smoothly and thinly! Scent: It truly smells like rice. There's a scent of rice water, giving it a pleasant, nutty aroma while it's on your face. The granules help with dead skin cell removal! In this dry season when skin gets flaky and rough, using this mask instantly brightens your face and exfoliates! Most importantly, after rinsing, your skin feels hydrated. Usually, my skin feels dry after washing, but with this, it's surprisingly moisturized.
ConsThe downside is that the granules feel a bit harsh when washing off, possibly due to their size. Those with super sensitive skin should use it cautiously.
TipApply to dry skin after cleansing. Leave on for about five minutes, then gently massage while rinsing off.

Except for summer, my skin always feels tight and I suffer from itching and tingling. After an allergy test, I found out I'm allergic to all types of pollen, so my skin gets easily irritated, flares up, and turns red. I have super sensitive skin that reacts with red spots and flare-ups even to some regular sheet masks. The dermatologist my husband and I visit says it's because my skin is very thin. Anyway, I'm the type who can't use just anything because I often suffer from skin reactions when trying to improve my skin. So I usually don't buy or use masks, and when I apply for The Hwahae Testers, I mostly stick to shampoos or body washes. However, being in my 40s, my skin has become very dry with a loss of elasticity, so I gathered the courage to try again and applied for this. - Scent: It smells like rice wine, similar to makgeolli or dongdongju. While many people didn't like the scent, I personally enjoyed it. The fermented smell fits well with the product image and makes me think it might be good for skin health. - Hydration: This was amazing. From the moment I applied it until I washed it off, I noticed its drawbacks. But after use, I was shocked at how moisturized my skin felt. The hydration power is excellent. Even though there were more cons than pros, this one benefit could potentially outweigh all the negatives. - Skin Soothing Effect: This is quite funny because while the product itself causes a lot of skin irritation, its soothing effect is so good that after use, my skin calmed down completely.
ConsFrom the moment I applied it, I instinctively felt that if I rubbed this in, my face would be ruined. There are irregularly sized, rough particles that irritated my skin even while spreading it, making it painful and difficult to apply evenly. As it started to harden, I was afraid to wash it off. As expected, the hardened mask pack didn't come off easily with water, requiring rolling to remove it. The skin irritation while rolling was no joke. It stung and tingled. However, I'm giving it 4 stars because I was very satisfied with the condition of my skin after use. If used over a mask sheet, it would cover all the drawbacks, making it a 5-star product. - Summary: 1. The skin irritation is so severe that those with sensitive skin can't roll it off. 2. But if you don't roll it off, it doesn't wash off well, causing pain during cleansing.
TipWhile there's severe skin irritation when applying, rolling, and washing off, the hydrating and soothing effects are so good that I thought I should try using it over a mask sheet. When used over a mask sheet, it didn't hurt to apply, was easy to wash off by just removing the sheet, and didn't cause pain. This way, the drawbacks were covered, and I could fully enjoy the benefits of its effects. Using it over a mask sheet covers all the drawbacks and allows you to experience only the benefits, making it usable even for those with sensitive skin.
