The color payoff is great and the shades are beautiful! I love how it stains evenly without patchiness. The renewed version is much easier to apply compared to the old one! The longevity isn't exactly shocking... It doesn't just stain your lips pink indiscriminately. The color you apply is the color that stains and stays put. Perfect for when you need long-lasting color, like during water activities. Winter Deep/Dark 2-week usage review Color: Minimal difference between light application and layering. Doesn't get too deep even with heavy application. Among 'plum lip' products, it's quite bright and vibrant. It's like a drop of plum in mauve; Winter Dark might seem a bit light for some. Hand swatch matches perfectly, while arm swatch appears slightly warmer. It's much cooler than that in reality! Staining power: Strongest staining power I've ever seen in a tint! Stains exactly like the color in the tube. Longevity: It won't stay perfectly intact after eating, but it doesn't disappear immediately either. Touch-ups are needed, but it doesn't vanish right after a meal. Leaves a patchy stain even after finishing your food. The color remains, just needs some touching up. Lasts well through snacks, drinks, and talking. Features: I expected it to be very drying, but it's surprisingly moisturizing. It doesn't dry down to a completely matte finish. No dead skin cell emphasis! Easier to apply than expected! Goes on well even if your lips aren't in great condition (but be aware of patchy staining) There's a very slight sheen, but it doesn't fill in lip lines. While it doesn't emphasize dead skin cells, the strong staining power means it can stain unevenly along dry patches. The staining is effective, but be cautious of patchy staining! Great as a base lip color due to its staining power, but Plum Shocking is quite intense, so cover it well! A little goes a long way - control the amount carefully! Staining happens quickly, so blend faster than ever!

While the formula seems like it should allow for a gradient effect, once it sets, it creates a harsh line as if you've used a highlighter pen. The contrast between the stained and unstained areas is too stark. It's also disappointing that layering makes the color look muddy. I absolutely love it! The staying power is incredible, and it doesn't come off easily. The color is also gorgeous. I can't think of any downsides. I'm really satisfied with how long-lasting it is! While it can fade if exposed to water or saliva, this is still one of the most long-lasting tints I've ever tried. It really stains the lips well! Tony Moly is definitely becoming a go-to brand for me. The scent is a bit off-putting... Here's my review of Plum Shocking! Although I was diagnosed as a cool summer, I feel like I might be a cool winter..!! I suddenly had to go on an overseas trip and was looking for a long-lasting tint for snorkeling. I remembered the nostalgic Tony Moly Shocking Lip and decided to buy it. However, it doesn't seem to stain as intensely as that tint from back in the day..ㅜ Still, if you apply it thinly and blot with a tissue several times, it does seem to stain to some degree. I like the color! The color seems perfect for cool-toned individuals, but when I applied it to my lips, it surprisingly suited me well even though I have warm undertones! Usually, water-based tints tend to make my lips feel quite dry after a while, but this product felt less drying than others. I had high hopes for its long-lasting power and staining ability, especially since people said it was great for water activities. However, the staying power didn't quite meet my expectations. It's only slightly better than other tints, not as impressive as I'd hoped.

Staying power I bought it for a trip to the valley, and as expected, the staying power is top-notch. The staining is incredible! 2. Color As someone with a summer cool bright or winter cool bright complexion, the Plum Shocking color is absolutely perfect for me. All my friends keep asking about it! 3. Packaging Many tints tend to leak, but this one doesn't. I'm so pleased with the leak-proof case. 4. Non-drying Usually, these types of tints are always drying, but surprisingly, this one isn't. This is what I love most about it! 1. The applicator tip isn't my favorite type. If this could be improved, it would be perfect. However, I'm only mentioning this as a potential drawback. In everyday use, it's not really an issue at all. For a long-lasting tanghulu lip effect, apply the Tony Moly Shocking Tint only on the inner part of your lips, then top it with lip gloss or lip balm on the outer part. Note: The photo shows the tint applied once on bare lips.

The color feels too heavy for summer use. Maybe it would work better in autumn? The only positive I can say for certain is that the packaging looks prettier now. As someone who's used at least 20 tubes of the Perfect Shocking Lip before its renewal, I bought this because it was marketed for cool tones. However, it has such a strong purple tint that it makes my lips look dark. It was promoted as a 'waterpark lip' with good staining power, and the renewal was supposed to be an improvement. But in reality, it barely stains and comes off easily. I'd recommend sticking with what you're already using! I definitely won't be repurchasing this. First photo - after one application Second photo - after two applications While the color might look okay when you only focus on the lips, it absolutely doesn't harmonize with the rest of the face in person. It might suit those who prefer a smokey makeup look, though!
