For my evening routine, I remove makeup with oil and follow up with an alkaline cleanser, but in the morning I prefer a gentle, low-pH cleanser. This product fits the bill perfectly for my skin. It's a mild, low-pH cleanser that's ideal for sensitive skin prone to irritation. I used to experience significant tightness after cleansing, but this product has reduced that considerably. Despite its gel texture, it lathers up surprisingly well. I was initially concerned that the fermented green tea leaves might be too abrasive, but I couldn't feel them at all - there's absolutely no irritation. Plus, it's free from harmful ingredients, making it a trustworthy choice. I'm currently using it as my morning cleanser and I'm thoroughly satisfied with the results. The only downside is that it has a slight scent reminiscent of laundry soap. I'm not particularly sensitive to fragrances, so it doesn't bother me. The scent isn't overpowering, so it shouldn't be off-putting for most people. This cleanser is well-suited for morning use but may not be effective at removing makeup. - kh********************Dry SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsRednessRecommendedJun 16, 2025
This cleanser is so amazing that it's made my skin much brighter and more radiant. It doesn't contain any harsh chemicals, making it suitable for all skin types. I think I'll be using this cleanser until the day I die. If you're not a fan of gel-type cleansers, this might not be the best choice for you. This cleanser isn't terrible, though. And I don't think I have anything particularly negative to say about it. When using this product, thoroughly rinse your teeth and face with water. Then, work the cleanser with water until it lathers up. Don't cleanse for more than 2 minutes. - as******Normal SkinRecommendedMay 2, 2025
It's so gentle and incredibly hydrating without any deep dryness! Even a few minutes after washing, my skin doesn't feel dry at all and stays moisturized~ The only downside is that it has a scent similar to rubber erasers, which is a bit unfortunate. I wouldn't recommend this for those with oily skin types! Also, since it's mildly acidic, you don't get that squeaky clean feeling after washing, so keep that in mind too. - ka***********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedDec 16, 2024
I love that it's gentle on my skin, not causing any irritation or making my super sensitive skin even more reactive It doesn't lather up well and doesn't seem to have any noticeable effects, so it feels rather ordinary - pa***Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedNov 16, 2024
I used to prefer that squeaky-clean feeling, but this cleanser changed my mind. It's incredibly gentle, and there's no tightness after washing. I love that it doesn't leave my skin feeling dry! The ingredients are also clean and pure. You need to rinse it off multiple times. If you only rinse briefly, it doesn't wash away completely. - ki*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsRecommendedNov 4, 2024
My skin feels incredibly soft after cleansing with this. It's not squeaky clean at all - perfect for dry skin! There's absolutely no tightness after use, and my skin feels smooth when applying skincare. I love that it's fragrance-free (though it has a slight detergent-like scent, which I actually enjoy - it's that recognizable soapy smell). The ingredients are excellent too. It lathers up nicely with dense, fluffy foam. I accidentally used too much at first and got an overwhelming amount of foam, so now I just use a pea-sized amount. The pump dispenser is more hygienic than tube-type cleansers. It's a bit irritating for my skin, I guess it doesn't suit me. I wanted to keep using it because it seemed gentle, but it's not working out. However, it's much gentler than other products that don't agree with me. I only got two tiny blemishes on my forehead and one near my eyebrow - just barely noticeable. I think I might be sensitive to fermented ingredients, so maybe that's why this doesn't work for me either. What a shame! - 26******Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessRecommendedNov 1, 2024
I've been using only gel-type cleansing foams for a long time because regular cleansing foams make my face feel too tight. This product, however, was comfortably suitable. You don't need to use a lot - just a small amount creates plenty of lather and works well. I'm using it not only for my face but also as a body cleanser. There are some plant-based particles in it, but I don't really feel like they're doing anything particularly beneficial for my skin. To be honest, I think the product would be fine without these particles. - dl******Dry SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessRecommendedJun 27, 2024
First off, I highly recommend this because it's incredibly gentle and causes absolutely no irritation! Before using Kyne gel cleansers, I used to prefer cleansers that left my skin feeling squeaky clean. However, after learning that this can actually be harsh on the skin barrier, I've come to appreciate cleansers that leave my skin feeling moisturized after washing. This Kombu cleanser is genuinely, truly super hydrating! I'm so satisfied that the moisturized feeling lasts until I start my skincare routine. It's hydrating, produces rich foam, and has excellent cleansing effectiveness! The fact that it contains real ingredients increases my trust in the product, and it's completely vegan to boot. While I'd absolutely recommend this for dry skin, those with oily skin might not be as fond of it!
