Here is the English translation of the Korean text: The real review of Hwahae for sensitive skin Pros: 1. 🌟 Slightly pink-tinted 'champagne beige' The color blends naturally with both yellow-toned and flushed skin. The pink and gold pearl mix instantly brightens the face. 2. 🪞 Micro-particle glow The pearl size is very fine, minimizing pore emphasis. The sheen spreads like a 'water film' and does not show texture even when changing mirror angles. 3. 💧 Resistant to sebum, with a lightweight powdery formula As a baked powder type, it does not cake up when applied over oil, and lasts long on oily skin. It maintains a subtle satin glow without feeling sticky in the afternoon. 4. 🖌 Flexible layering A light swipe with the brush gives a subtle effect, while building two to three layers creates a "dewy glow"... Layering is possible without clumping. 5. 🦋 Fragrance-free and low-irritation No added fragrance or alcohol. It did not cause any breakout reactions even on sensitive days. ❗ Drawbacks 1. 📸 Strong flash can cause pearly finish In night flash photos, the pearl can slightly 'pop out'. Adjusting the application amount is essential when taking photos. 2. ⏳ Lasting power of about 6-7 hours In the sweltering summer outdoors with a lot of sweating, the glow gradually fades away. Carrying a small touch-up brush can solve this issue👌. 3. 🧳 No case mirror Separate mirror is needed when carrying. The contents are sturdy, so there is little concern about damage, but it is a bit disappointing! 💡 Usage Tips 1. 🔹 Sweep the "C-zone" brush in one stroke → Natural radiant glow. 2. 🔹 Apply a small amount on the nose tip and upper lip area → Accentuates the focal points of the face. 3. 🔹 Gently pat the center of the eyelids with your fingertip → Glossy eye makeup - yo*********Dehydrated SkinInner DrynessRecommendedMay 2, 2025
As someone with an extreme winter cool tone (17-19), I initially thought the base color looked too warm and darker than my complexion. However, when I swept it across my cheekbones, nose, and chin with a brush, it gave me a natural glow. It makes my skin look absolutely fantastic! I highly recommend it! The case seems quite fragile. I only use it at home, but I feel like it might break if carried around in a makeup pouch. - oh*************Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedApr 18, 2025
First off, I love how the color is neutral, making it versatile for various makeup looks. My mom even mentioned that the pigmentation is so good, it instantly adds dimension to my face! What's great is that while many highlighters are expensive and come in large quantities you can't possibly use up, this one offers excellent value for money. Plus, this product line has a wide range of colors, which is fantastic. The staying power is average - not too short, not too long. It seems to last longer with a setting spray. I'd especially recommend this for warm-toned folks, as it might be a bit warm for those with cooler undertones! The average staying power means it doesn't last as long as I'd like, which is a bit disappointing. Make sure to apply it to the bridge of your nose and the inner corners of your eyes. It seriously elevates the quality of your makeup look. - bu*********Dry SkinAcne SkinEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedApr 6, 2025
It's absolutely gorgeous, just truly beautiful. I bought it after seeing a YouTuber use it, and I'm completely satisfied. When you apply this, it gives you a nose bridge you never had before. I'm not exaggerating! This is my all-time favorite highlighter... What am I supposed to use now? - ye*****Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesInner DrynessRecommendedApr 5, 2025
I've been asked at least 5 times what highlighter I'm using since I started using this. For real! If you're someone who finds that using just highlighter makes you look pale and doesn't give that 'pretty' glow, you absolutely must try this. I'm begging you! I've bought and tried a total of 8 highlighters, and they all left a silvery beam floating on my face, emphasizing only my blemishes. I ended up using only matte highlighters... but this one is different! My criteria for choosing highlighters are super picky: 1. It must create a proper glow 2. But I don't want that cool-toned, floaty white glow (I'm shade 23) 3. It needs to have amazing staying power, even in strong winds 4. I never spend over $30 (I'm all about extreme value for money) 5. I don't want it to emphasize skin texture 6. Since I'm clumsy, it can't be easily breakable 7. It should create a glow even when applied with fingers I couldn't find a highlighter that met all these criteria until now. I plan to stick with this one... First off, the color is perfect for anyone who doesn't have super pale skin like shade 13. (My friend who uses shade 17 is also using it happily on my recommendation) The peachy glow adheres perfectly to the bridge of the nose, nostrils, inner corners of the eyes, and cheekbones. It creates a glow that's not overwhelming and maintains it even after facing winter winds all the way home. The key point is that it's a 'moderately bright' peachy beam! I've tried the peachy highlighter from that famous brand starting with 'G', but it was too dark and intense, and didn't brighten my face. This one, however, brightens just right without being overwhelming. And the value for money is insane... I bought it on sale for about $10, and at this price, with this color, this pearl finish, and this durability, I'm beyond satisfied. It's more satisfying than any other color makeup I've bought recently. I carry my bag around carelessly, toss it around, and have dropped it a few times... but after several months, it's still intact and working great! You absolutely must try it. In my opinion, it's the best Korean highlighter out there! There's really nothing bad to say... But for those with very fair skin, it might feel a bit dark. I'd recommend a different shade for those around shade 13. The best tip is to just buy it. Whether you apply it with your fingers or a brush, it looks beautiful no matter how you put it on. It adheres well to the skin in summer or winter, regardless of what base you use! Buying this product is the real pro tip. This quality at this price? Unbelievable. Just buy it! - oh********Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedMar 16, 2025
This highlighter is perfect for everyday use, giving a subtle glow that complements any makeup look. The staying power seems a bit weak. I find myself carrying it around for touch-ups throughout the day. - ji******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedMar 13, 2025
Though small in size, it's budget-friendly. The fine shimmer gives a natural, beautiful color payoff. The compact size means you don't get a lot of product. If you look closely, you can spot some larger glitter particles. - se*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDead Skin CellsRecommendedFeb 26, 2025
It complements any makeup look! The champagne gold beam matches my complexion perfectly, making it ideal for everyday makeup! The staying power is slightly disappointing. It tends to fade away after a few hours. - yu********Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedFeb 10, 2025
You know how inner corner highlighters are all the rage these days, right? Well, other highlighters can be so expensive, but often don't deliver the quality to match. This one, though? It's absolutely perfect for illuminating... It's like your skin itself is radiating beams of light! There's honestly nothing bad to say. Compared to other products, this one is affordable yet the quality is exceptionally good. - 20**********Dry SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessRecommendedJan 25, 2025
I was originally using Romand's Ohmybim, but recently I've been using Holika Holika's Letter From Spring as my daily palette. I felt Romand's Ohmybim was a bit too shimmery and had a strong purple tint, so I went looking for a new product and ended up buying this! Also, I thought I wouldn't be able to use up a large, expensive highlighter, so that's another reason I bought this single highlighter. ❕Texture❕ When I first swatched it with my finger, it felt so soft and smooth that it instantly put me in a good mood. Even when using stiffer brushes, I hardly noticed any excess powder! Being a cream highlighter, it doesn't seem to emphasize pores either. This is my first cream highlighter, and I'm extremely satisfied with it! ❕Color❕ I'm around shade 17-19 with a deep to light undertone, so I was torn between Shell and Clear. I ended up buying Clear and was so happy with it that I bought Shell too! I usually prefer highlighters that are either very light white with almost no color, or light beige or champagne, so this was perfect for me. I read many reviews saying it doesn't alter your skin tone, and I think that's true - unless you have a very dark complexion, this product should work for most people! The color of the product itself is similar to what's shown in the detailed photos, but when applied, it looks a bit lighter and whiter. ❕Longevity and Oil Control❕ As someone with dry skin, I found the longevity to be quite good. Most importantly, I didn't experience any issues with it settling into pores, removing my cushion foundation when reapplied, or looking patchy. If you're concerned about it settling into pores, I'd recommend using a fan brush or a light brush. It could also work well as a shimmery eyeshadow to brighten up the aegyo sal (under-eye area)! After continued use, I noticed a very slight tendency for it to settle, but this is a common issue with highlighters.
