I started using this powder that came as a free gift with another purchase. After running out, I snagged my mom's and have been using it since. I'm pleasantly surprised by how well it covers pores and prevents makeup from separating. It's satisfying enough that I'd consider repurchasing it. Despite its use, I still noticed some product settling into pores. It also crumbles more easily than expected. - dm*******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsJun 11, 2025
As I hit my 30s, I noticed my pores becoming more visible, so I thought, "Why not give this primer a try?" even though my skin had become too sensitive for most primers. I'll describe my skin type at the end for reference. Let's start with a functional assessment. Compared to the primers I used to love back in the day, this one focuses more on smoothing texture and controlling oil rather than filling in pores. It leaves your skin feeling incredibly matte, but here's the catch - when you apply foundation or cushion on top (even ones you've used before), it emphasizes texture you didn't even know you had! Instead of that beautiful matte finish, it makes your skin look parched and flaky. Thinking about who this might work for, I'd say it's best suited for those with absolutely no blemishes. Why? Because it tends to highlight any imperfections, making even the slightest hint of flaking skin around blemishes glaringly obvious. You might find yourself wondering, "Has this always been on my face?" If you're managing blemishes with BHA products, I'd steer clear of this one too. Since I've already bought it, I'll try using it sparingly on specific areas or near my hairline and reassess. So, did my sensitive, dermatitis-prone skin react badly? You bet it did! I can't speak to how it affects regular acne since I only used it once before washing it off. While it might be okay for those with typical sensitive skin without dermatitis, I wouldn't necessarily recommend it. For those with severely sensitive skin like mine, it's a definite no-go. Skin profile: Combination dehydrated, varies by area, super sensitive, prone to excess oil production, frequent whiteheads, occasional itchy or painful blemishes, *frequent dermatitis flare-ups, *redness and dilated blood vessels due to steroid ointment side effects, very fragile and thin skin Ingredients that don't work for me: High concentrations of Centella Asiatica, heavy and suffocating formulas, carrot pads, Dr.G cream, cypress water-based products, Mediheal Tea Tree ampoule, over-nourishing formulas, shea butter, orange oil, sage oil, silicones, dimethicone(?), pore-clogging ingredients, cyclohexasiloxane, betaine, etc. (still discovering more) - ap*******Combination SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresJun 9, 2025
Well, it does fill in and cover some uneven texture and pores! Though it's a bit lacking, haha. As I mentioned earlier, it doesn't cover uneven texture and pores as well as I'd like. I think I'd rather spend a bit more and go for the BNMDS one instead. The translation maintains the friendly, conversational tone of the original text while adapting it to sound more natural in English. It uses vocabulary from the synonym list, such as "pores," and replaces the Korean brand abbreviation with a romanized version to maintain consistency. The translation also adds appropriate subjects where needed and removes the emoji, replacing it with "haha" to convey the same sentiment. - rb********Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsJun 2, 2025
As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I have dry patches around my nose but an oily T-zone. In summer, I was concerned about uneven texture and excess oil on my nose bridge, so I decided to try this primer. I'm happy to say it works well! It's easy to apply - just a quick swipe does the trick. The portable size is convenient, and it gives a nice blurring effect too. Without fail, every time I use this primer, I end up with blemishes, even after thorough cleansing. It might just not suit my skin type, which is why I don't reach for it very often. - ji*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedJun 1, 2025
Love it!! It fills in pores nicely and feels so soft on the skin! Don't hesitate, just go ahead and buy it! It might be a bit tricky to apply thoroughly around the sides of the nose or in the T-zone. Try warming it up slightly with your fingertips before applying - works like a charm! - kr****Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresJun 1, 2025
The stick format makes it convenient to use. The effectiveness is pretty good for what it is. Sometimes there's a bit of fallout, or should I say residue? It drops off occasionally. You can clean it up quickly though. - qx********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresMay 30, 2025
It really makes my makeup look beautiful! It even covers up my pores nicely! The shape keeps getting messed up After using this, I've developed so many pores that I barely had before You really have to cleanse thoroughly when you use this - db*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsMay 12, 2025
Absorbs smoothly and effectively fills in pores. Its compact size is great for saving space. Despite thorough cleansing, this primer causes breakouts like crazy... Those with super sensitive skin should think twice. - qw*******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedMay 11, 2025
It applies smoothly and evenly, making it easy to use. The cushion definitely has good staying power and controls oil production well. This would be great for those new to primers - an excellent entry-level product. After my first purchase, I tried to retract the product and at some point it got stuck and wouldn't go back down. This caused the primer to get a bit squished when closing the lid. It's worth being careful about this. Also, if you already have a primer you probably don't need to buy this, but that doesn't mean it's not good! - ba********Oily SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedMay 3, 2025
1. Perfectly blocks excess sebum! I have extremely oily skin, and my T-zone would get incredibly shiny between 2-4 PM, looking like it had been dipped in oil. But using the About-turn Primer significantly reduced the oiliness. I can maintain a matte complexion even in the afternoon~~ 2. The pore coverage improves gradually and impressively! It applies thinly for a natural look, and the coverage is quite good. It doesn't seem to fully cover very deep pores. But this actually makes it look more natural, so it's both a drawback and an advantage! It pairs well with the About-turn Blur Cushion.
