The Mauve Plum color has a slight muted quality, not too deep. Among the 4 Velvet colors, this is the coolest, but it's not extremely cool-toned. The subtle muted quality means you can use it as a point color on the inner part of the base color without it being too much of a Plum color. The Velvet Tint line has excellent lasting power, just like regular tints. It barely transfers and applies thinly and lightly without feeling heavy. While the pigmentation is not super strong, the good lasting power makes up for the lack of intense color.
Cons
The scent is a sweet, nutty coconut fragrance, with a faint undertone that I personally dislike. I've always mentioned disliking the fragrances of products I review, like the Laneige Whipping Tint, and this one has a similar undertone that I don't enjoy. Luckily, the coconut base scent becomes more subtle after application. Still, I personally preferred the original fragrance more.
