You should apply it on your lips and pat it in to get a beautiful color payoff.
Judging by swatches on the back of the hand is a no-no.

I was expecting a deep plum shade since it was described as purple, but it actually goes on as a deep red.

Despite being a matte formula, it applies smoothly without settling into lip lines, leaving a velvety finish. The price is also affordable.

The shade is quite common and can be found in many other brands. This color seemed to clump more than the others in the range.

The color seems perfect for cool-toned skin types. I'll probably use it as an accent since a full lip might be a bit much for me.

The scent is a sweet, nutty coconut aroma, but there's an additional subtle fragrance that I'm not fond of. It reminds me of products I've previously disliked, such as Laneige's Whipping Tint. Fortunately, the scent is only noticeable during application, and afterwards, only a faint coconut aroma remains. Still, I personally preferred the original scent. Also, while the swatch on the hand appears deeper and more saturated than the official lip swatch, it actually applies more subtly and muted on the lips. It's slightly deeper and less bright than shown on the website, but on the lips, it's about a quarter as intense as the hand swatch.

A slightly muted mauve-plum color that's not too deep. Among the four velvet shades, it's the coolest, but not overly so. The subtle muted tone makes it perfect for adding a touch of plum to the inner lips over a base color without being overwhelming. The Velvet Tint line offers excellent longevity, similar to traditional tints. It barely transfers, applies thinly and lightly without feeling heavy. While it doesn't stain much, its minimal transfer and good staying power make up for any lack of staining.
