The color is absolutely perfect, and the packaging is quite lovely as well. Unfortunately, there are quite a few downsides. While I'm not entirely sure about my skin type, I do notice some oil on my face after extended activity. Sadly, this foundation seems to cause significant darkening - I could see it happening within just 3 hours of application. It's hard to tell if it's not working well with my powder or if it's the foundation itself. Since it's semi-matte, I only use it when my skin is a bit more hydrated. However, every time I apply it, it severely accentuates my smile lines. If my skin is even slightly less than perfect or I perspire a bit, the foundation starts to separate noticeably. It also tends to settle into the pores around my nose quite badly. I really can't recommend this product at all. For those with combination dehydrated skin or who are prone to blemishes, this foundation might not be the best choice. It seems to struggle with maintaining a balanced complexion throughout the day and doesn't work well with oily areas. Consider looking for a foundation that offers better oil control and has a more skin-like finish to avoid emphasizing texture and pores. - le************Normal SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedApr 29, 2025
The coverage is pretty decent, and it applies beautifully. It seems to have a semi-matte finish and feels powdery soft. The staying power appears to be good, and there's no darkening effect. When applied to dry skin, it can feel a bit patchy. As time passes, it might settle into pores, leaving a whitish cast. Apply a thin layer for best results! - tr******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedMar 15, 2025
The texture of this cushion is really firm and adheres exceptionally well to the skin. It's great for a light application and really makes your complexion look amazing. You might not even need to set it with powder! The coverage is good, and it doesn't tend to slide off much, making it a solid all-around cushion. What's particularly nice is how it leaves a matte finish, which should work well for those with oily or combination skin! While it was a bit disappointing that it lacked hydration, the excellent adherence made up for it. For those with combination dehydrated skin, you might want to skip the powder with this cushion. While it does have a matte finish, it's not particularly moisturizing, so you probably won't need to set it with powder anyway! - wn******Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedJan 19, 2025
It's a decent cushion foundation. I used it well during summer because it didn't break down as easily. I'm a bit disappointed that it was just average. The coverage and skin finish were all just so-so. - ca*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedDec 19, 2024
True to its name, the coverage is great and it makes my skin look absolutely beautiful. Even from morning to evening, it doesn't seem to wear off, and instead of looking like unpleasant oily shine, it gives more of a gorgeous glow that enhances my complexion. I'm not sure if there's something in it that doesn't agree with me, but this is the first time I've experienced this with makeup. Every time I use this product, I get blemishes. It even makes my face itchy while it's on. If it weren't for this issue, I'd love to keep using it as it's such a great cushion otherwise. Even though I only use it once a week, it consistently causes problems, so I'm looking for a different cushion now. If you've had a similar reaction, you might want to check the ingredients list. - 7z********Combination SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsDec 18, 2024
Hmm... if I had to say something positive, the coverage is good. Maybe because it goes on quite thick. First off, it looks way too cakey. I think this is the cakiest cushion I've ever used. After trying it for about two days, I just couldn't bear it anymore. Ugh, it's destined for the back of my drawer. It's extremely drying, cakes up immediately, and applies quite thick. It might be the worst cushion I've used so far... If you try to apply it thinly, it's like you've barely put any product on the puff. Sure, it doesn't cake up that way, but what's the point of using a cushion then? You might as well not wear any makeup at all. Please, please apply it as thinly as possible! I'm telling you, if you don't, it will cake up no matter what. - lj*****Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinNov 20, 2024
When I first applied it, I was immediately struck by how beautiful my skin looked. I thought, 'Oh my, could this be my holy grail cushion?' The initial pros were definitely the gorgeous skin finish - it made my complexion look smooth and velvety, and the color was absolutely stunning. I was really impressed at first, but then... After about 3 hours, it started to separate. It began to settle into my T-zone pores, leaving white patches in the shape of my pores while fading away everywhere else. Considering my previous Hera Black cushion didn't do this, I don't think it's my skincare - it seems to be an issue with this cushion itself. Both the adherence and longevity are terrible. The worst part was that after removing my makeup that night, my face was all blotchy and I had some kind of reaction, like makeup-induced blemishes... Ugh! I'm so disappointed it doesn't work for me. What a waste of money! The ingredients must not be that great either. Now what am I supposed to do with the rest of it... I found it a bit drying. You really need to prep your skin well with hydrating skincare beforehand. Also, I noticed that instead of patting it in, this cushion works better when you smooth it on with gentle strokes. - 26********Dry SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesInner DrynessRecommendedNov 17, 2024
Blends naturally with the complexion while providing coverage. No settling into wrinkles or around the nose. Applies moistly and when touching up, using a mist-sprayed puff makes for smooth corrections. Doesn't clump even when used with powder, finishing with a soft, matte look. Minimal darkening over time. There weren't really any downsides, but if I had to pick one, it slightly lifted around the inner corners of the eyes as time passed. Spraying serum or mist on the puff before use creates an unbeatable combination. - se*************Normal SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesRecommendedNov 14, 2024
The most praiseworthy aspect I want to highlight is that this is the cushion with the least darkening I've ever used! While I don't typically have excessive oil production, I do have combination dehydrated skin with a slightly oily tendency. Usually, no matter how good a cushion was, I'd always have to give up on preventing darkening and touch up at least once a day. But with this one, there's no darkening, so I don't have to go through the hassle of wiping it off with a wet wipe and reapplying my base from scratch! Also, the skin finish is gorgeous... Even though shade 17 is usually a bit light for me, this one just applies beautifully. However! The truly critical drawback is that it doesn't wear off gracefully. It doesn't break down evenly all over, but rather just around the nose and T-zone. While the longevity is good overall, once it starts to break down, it clings to pores in a white, patchy way... That's its biggest flaw. It's probably best suited for times when you're taking photos or not planning to be out for too long. For the longest-lasting wear, I find it works best to mix it with a moisturizing cushion or foundation and apply a thin layer using a spatula! - ha******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesEnlarged PoresRednessSep 13, 2024
The color is vibrant and fresh, and the case is adorably cute (though that's more about the packaging than the cushion itself, but I can't think of 20 characters' worth of praise otherwise) While the formula seems thin, it applies thickly on the skin. In less than 3 hours, it settles into every pore, creating a bumpy texture... it's really bad. I'm usually good at applying thin layers, but I've never seen a foundation break down this quickly. I used to use the Giv**** Fitting Cushion, which only starts to settle into pores after about 9 hours. I think I'll go back to using that one. Pressing it into the skin might improve adherence, but I don't have any real tips to share...
