I didn't expect much color payoff since it looked like a lip balm, but wow! I was worried it might be too bright and flashy, but not at all. It looks fluorescent in the tube, but it's not on the lips. I'm so pleasantly surprised that I couldn't take a lip photo while on the subway. The color is pretty, and it's really moisturizing. At first, I thought it was a bit pricey for a lip balm, but it's actually like a lipstick with great color payoff! It gives a sheer, water-tinted look without being too intense. For makeup, it's perfect when applied after toning down your lip color with cushion foundation. It also looks natural and beautiful when used as a cheek tint. I bought both the coral and pink shades, and I don't regret either purchase! The price is high, and the durability is disappointing. It's a bit soft and melts easily. Considering it doesn't have a luxurious design or anything, the price seems too high for what you get. It's in the $7 range, but I feel like it should be priced in the upper $5 range. You can use it like a lip balm without needing to reduce your lip color as you would with makeup. It's great for a casual look when going out nearby or just in front of your house. The hydration is excellent, so it works well as a lip balm too.
