It definitely gives a feeling of tightening the pores. However, I think it might be too harsh for those with super sensitive skin. Still, after using this, I've seen a noticeable improvement in my pores. The downside, as I mentioned earlier, is that it has a bit of a burning sensation. Despite its effectiveness in pore care, this product may not be suitable for everyone. Those with sensitive skin should approach with caution due to its potency. The tingling or burning feeling some users experience could be a sign of irritation for delicate skin types. However, for those whose skin can tolerate it, the results in terms of pore improvement are quite impressive. - ks********Oily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedApr 24, 2025
Budget-friendly, great ingredients, and a hydrating ampoule with niacinamide. A highly recommended basic, cost-effective pad The scent is slightly disappointing. It's not overpowering, but has that typical affordable skincare smell - cs*****Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedMar 29, 2025
I've rarely seen pore products that show immediate results, but I was amazed to see my pores actually shrink after using these pads as an overnight mask! The pads are thick and soft, which I love. I'm already on my third bottle! There is some irritation, unfortunately. My skin tingles every time I use it, but the effectiveness is so good that I'm willing to put up with it. For those with super sensitive skin, you might want to patch test first. Despite the slight tingling, the pore-minimizing results are impressive, making it worth considering for combination dehydrated skin types looking to refine their complexion. - rl*********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedMar 17, 2025
I love that the pad has different textures on each side. It's so hydrating and feels wonderfully moisturizing. The product absorbs quickly, which is great. But what I love most is how cooling it feels! I think it's because of the menthol ingredient - it seems to really help bring down any skin heat. The only inconvenience is when you're trying to grab a pad without tweezers - it can be tricky to get just one. When I first opened it, I was worried about the amount of liquid, thinking it might dry out quickly. Surprisingly, it's still nicely moisturizing even after extended use. I'm about halfway through the container, but I haven't noticed any change in my pores. Maybe it's because my pores are naturally large, but I haven't seen any reduction. I also don't feel like it's very effective for soothing my skin. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to help calm my blemishes either. - zx****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresMar 5, 2025
The pads are thick with embossing, making them quite effective for smoothing skin texture. The ampoule is also pleasantly hydrating. The artificial fragrance seems irritating, and the sticky finish means I won't be repurchasing. - gm********Combination SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesEnlarged PoresRecommendedJan 28, 2025
It doesn't have any strange scent and feels nicely moisturizing. I like how quickly it absorbs into the skin. It's a bit disappointing that there's no tweezer inside the container, so you have to use your own or pick up the pads with your fingers. - ra******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedJan 17, 2025
- Absorption: Moisturizing and could even work as a mask. It's not very irritating. - How it absorbs: It absorbs quickly, probably because it's winter. There's a slight stickiness left behind. - Recommended skin types: It seems like most people could use it, but I wouldn't recommend it for those with dry skin. - Blemishes: I got about two blemishes. - Drawbacks: It's sticky, so I wouldn't recommend it to those who dislike that feeling (I personally don't like stickiness). - zx*******Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedDec 15, 2024
The cooling effect when you apply it to your face is no joke. It instantly reduces that hot feeling. The scent is pretty nice too. It leaves your skin feeling super fresh. For this price, it's an absolute steal! They claim it improves pore appearance, but honestly, I can't really tell the difference. And it might just be me, but compared to other toner pads, it feels like there's not as much toner on each pad? It's not a deal-breaker though. The pads are shaped like ovals that are almost circular. If you gently stretch them with your hands to make them more elongated, they fit the contours of your face perfectly. That's a nice touch! - rk********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessRecommendedOct 16, 2024
I've used more than 2 bottles, so here's my honest review! SCENT: It has a cool menthol scent mixed with a slightly strong cosmetic fragrance. It's a really nice smell, but it might be too intense for those sensitive to fragrances. That's a bit of a downside. PRICE: It's 5,000 won for 50 pads. I'd say that's a pretty good deal. HYDRATION: While I wouldn't say it's extremely hydrating, as someone with combination dehydrated skin, I find it decently moisturizing. However, those with dry skin might feel it lacks hydration. Just to be clear, this alone won't fully replenish your skin's moisture! PADS: The pads have different textures on each side - one embossed and one smooth. Start with the smooth side on your skin, then use the embossed side to refine your skin texture at the end. They adhere well to the skin, and like other pads, they come off easily when the essence is almost dry. PERFORMANCE: As advertised, I noticed better effects than expected for pore tightening and skin soothing. I have sensitive skin prone to breakouts when I'm tired, stressed, or during my period, and these pads provide decent care. Of course, it's not a miracle worker that completely eliminates acne, but it does give a nice, firm feeling to the skin. REPURCHASE: With its reasonable price and good ingredients, I'll stick to using either this or the Mediheal Madecassoside pads for now. I'm on my second bottle and quite satisfied. BLEMISHES: I didn't experience any blemishes from using this. It actually helped soothe existing acne or breakouts caused by external factors. DRAWBACKS: The pads are considerably smaller than the Mediheal ones I used to use, which is a bit disappointing. Those were huge and felt like a real mask, while these are smaller, which is a shame. Other than that, I don't have any complaints. The price is good, and the ingredients are decent enough. I recommend it! RECOMMENDED FOR: - Those looking for a versatile, no-fuss product - When you need something to tide you over until the next Olive Young sale - If you want to splurge on other creams but need a reasonably priced pad - People with resilient skin who just want something basic, regardless of price It's a great choice for these situations! - rk**********Combination SkinInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedSep 14, 2024
You can see a reduction in pores. It's very hydrating. The pads are thick, making them great as a soothing mask. The embossed texture feels soft and plush. There's no tweezer included, but considering it's only 5000 won, that's understandable. The pads fold easily due to lack of firmness, so you need to be careful when using them with an exfoliating toner.
