I think I'm already on my fourth tube of this! When I became an adult, I was shocked by a sudden outbreak of blemishes, but this little wonder really keeps them in check. The coverage is fantastic! I thought it might not be moisturizing since it's a coating balm, but surprisingly, it adheres well to the skin. When I apply a second layer, my complexion looks even better! I'm a summer cool tone, so the #23 Natural Beige is a perfect match for me! Despite being a coating balm, it was a bit on the oily side. I have combination dehydrated skin, and it tended to separate around my nose area. I've started using a fixer just on my nose area before applying my base makeup. After finishing my base, I also set it with powder to control the excess oil. These steps seem to help quite a bit. - wh*********Combination SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedMay 2, 2025
The coverage is excellent, it doesn't settle into the creases around my nose, and it blends seamlessly with other makeup. I'm really impressed with everything about it! Even though I have dry skin, it's way too moisturizing - it's just too much for me... - se*****Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedMar 27, 2025
I usually use cushion shade 21, but since 02 has a grayish tone, I bought 03 instead. It feels like they've blended the best qualities of a foundation into a cushion format. It's so convenient and great, especially since I found regular foundation application cumbersome. When you apply it thinly with a brush, it adheres firmly to the skin. Instead of applying it thick from the start, it's better to layer it thinly multiple times for both longevity and adherence. My skin is combination dehydrated with some texture and visible pores. On days when I didn't do a thorough skincare routine or when the weather was dry, my skin's imperfections became more noticeable. This cushion tends to darken a bit, so if you're looking for one without darkening, this might not be the best fit. It's not particularly high coverage, so I find using a concealer is essential. For longer-lasting makeup, I recommend applying powder just on the nose area and finishing with a setting spray in the final step of your makeup routine. - mi******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMar 13, 2025
I had been contemplating this purchase since last year, and finally got the chance to buy it at a great price early this year! As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I apply this after my skincare routine, followed by Jung Saem Mool's fixer mist and Yeon Jak base prep. Then, I spritz on Urban Decay's setting spray, apply this coating balm, lightly dust some powder, and finish with another layer of Urban Decay's fixer. My makeup stays flawless until evening without any breakdown! You might think any foundation would look this good with such a routine, but other foundations I've tried didn't hold up nearly as well. This coating balm seems to work particularly well with a flat foundation brush! The brush that comes as a gift with the coating balm felt a bit rough and uncomfortable to use. Other than that, the product itself is absolutely fantastic! For those with combination dehydrated or oily skin, using a setting spray and light powder between layers helps maintain a beautiful finish. Remember, you don't need to apply a lot of product to achieve great results! - ky*********Dry SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsMar 10, 2025
My complexion tends to be on the darker side, but I think the color of this product is quite nice and suits me well. Ever since I started using this, my skin has been in turmoil. It's been about 6 months, and I'm still trying to recover. I think it might have caused issues in combination with other products, but I'm not sure how to address the problem. - pa******Oily SkinAcne SkinFeb 11, 2025
I bought this after seeing it on Instagram, and I was pleasantly surprised by the brush that came with it. Instagram ads can be misleading... Definitely not recommended for oily skin. It clogs pores and makes your skin extremely greasy. - br**********Combination SkinRecommendedFeb 10, 2025
I was worried because it's a night cream, but I loved how it applies thinly and adheres well to the skin. When you use the brush that comes with it, it gives a smooth and beautiful finish. For combination skin, you'll need to touch up the T-zone with powder in the afternoon. - by****Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresDec 16, 2024
It absorbs incredibly well. The complimentary brush they give you is absolutely fantastic! It really emphasizes dead skin cells. The way it looks on your skin can vary greatly from day to day, depending on your skin condition. - y.******Dry SkinDark CirclesDead Skin CellsRecommendedDec 4, 2024
As someone with extremely dry skin, I found this incredibly moisturizing and perfect for winter use. It didn't cling to the sides of my nose, and it made my entire complexion look so smooth and refined. I absolutely loved it! I can't really think of any downsides. I highly recommend this for those with dry skin types. - he******Combination SkinAcne SkinNov 7, 2024
I bought this as part of a special offer that included a brush, and the brush is better than I expected. The foundation applies thinly and evenly, and it adheres well when I pat it with a puff at the end. It seems to have good coverage even with a thin layer! If you just apply it normally, it darkens significantly. It really gets much darker! While it might be because my skin is already dark, it becomes shockingly dark. It gives a grayish, dull appearance. When I tried to touch up, it seemed to emphasize my pores. It's like the product gets stuck in the pores, screaming 'Look at my pores!' If you apply it over existing makeup for touch-ups, it becomes really thick and looks cakey. It's somewhat better if you remove your makeup and start fresh. I tried setting it with powder, and if you apply an extremely thin layer and then set it with powder, there's less darkening and it lasts longer. But if you apply even a slightly thicker layer, you get the same darkening and visible pores. I'm not sure... It seemed okay at first, but the next day after applying makeup, it's not great again. It seems like a cushion foundation that requires some skill to control.
