It offers the familiar smooth application and moisturizing effect you'd expect. I apply this when I'm solely focused on hydration. Especially on my lips! I only use it on my lips. Rather than applying it frequently throughout the day, it works better as a final step in your skincare routine after cleansing, like a pack. I took off one star because, well, this or petroleum jelly... not much difference... oh well. Can be used as a substitute for lip mask packs
