It had just the right amount of coverage and staying power, and the color was beautiful! It was fine until I finished one bottle, but with long-term use, I started to develop small blemishes. I think it might be because my skin type changed. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 14, 2025
When going to work, I wanted to use something with better ingredients and less irritating than my usual foundation/cushion, so my skin could relax at the office. With this in mind, I went on a wild search on Hwahae for a cushion with good ingredients! I've always stuck to my usual cushions and foundations, so I was excited to try something new. I wore it to work today, and just as the reviews said, it feels incredibly light, like I'm not wearing makeup, and my skin feels comfortable. However, it's not as hydrating as I had hoped. As mentioned, it's not as hydrating as I expected, and it doesn't cover pores well, making them more noticeable and resulting in a less-than-ideal skin appearance. Also, I'm hesitant to say this definitively, but after applying the cushion and going to work, I noticed a blemish or allergic reaction. As the day went on, more appeared, and by the time I got home, I had four of them. I haven't had any blemishes recently, so I can't help but wonder if it's because of this cushion. I'm not certain, so I'll try it again on Monday and update my review, though I'm a bit scared of more breakouts. It's frustrating that I didn't have issues with products with less impressive ingredients, but this 'better' cushion seems to be causing problems. It makes me think that even products with good ingredients might not suit everyone. I'm feeling a bit disappointed. I think I applied too much product on the puff from the start, which may have led to a less attractive breakdown. It might be better to apply thin layers and build up coverage gradually.
