The Lab by Blanc Doux cushion has a yellow base. As someone with a 21 shade, summer cool tone, and light complexion, I loved how naturally the color blended into my skin when applied. The skin looked smooth and flawless, and once I laid a good foundation, the makeup stayed put nicely. It's a multi-functional product with whitening, anti-wrinkle, and sun protection benefits. Getting three-in-one is great, especially with its mineral sunscreen - my absolute favorite type of ingredient! I'd recommend this to makeup beginners. It's that gentle and has such good ingredients. There's no added fragrance either, making it a great cushion that even those with super sensitive skin can use with peace of mind. To be completely honest, there's really nothing to complain about. But if I had to nitpick, I'd say that since I have dry skin, when I applied it after just basic skincare, the makeup flaked off completely... haha! But that's entirely my fault. If you typically have very dry skin, make sure to layer on hydrating skincare products thoroughly before applying your makeup. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 1, 2025
Appearance: The design is simple and neat, which I really like! Adherence: It adheres well to the skin, feeling like a thin layer of foundation - smooth and not too matte. I appreciated that it doesn't apply too thickly. Coverage: It effectively neutralizes redness and evens skin tone naturally. Best of all, it doesn't dry out the skin or cause blemishes, making it comfortable to use regularly. The coverage seems slightly weak. It doesn't completely conceal uneven skin texture. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 1, 2025
Hmm? Even though it's been discontinued, here's a new review: For those with a bright deep undertone, but slightly darker than Song Hye-kyo's skin tone, this might be a bit light. It feels like it's forcibly covering a cool undertone. However, the gentle ingredients cause no irritation, and it's great for highlighting facial contours. It gives a natural skin finish too. The fine particles seem to cover pores well, making your skin look flawless. If you use the puff after spritzing some mist, it becomes super hydrating and looks even more natural. It's perfect for combination dehydrated skin and oily skin types with its balanced moisture level. It's less rich and doesn't contain pore-clogging ingredients, making skincare easier. While it may not have the strongest staying power, it's easy to cleanse off. The longevity isn't quite as impressive as a foundation. I've heard comments that it can look heavy if you layer it for touch-ups. After about 3-4 refill replacements, the container doesn't close properly anymore. It seems more hydrating than other products initially, but as you use it, the heavier formula settles at the bottom, making it feel less moisturizing over time. Applying it after using a face mist helps soothe the skin and addresses deep dryness. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinMar 15, 2025
The adherence is decent, and while the coverage isn't the strongest, I prefer a natural look anyway, so it works for me. When it fades, it does so gracefully, absorbing into the skin as if it were my natural complexion. My skin tone is a standard medium, and this product brightens it subtly without being excessive, which is why I always reach for it. It seems to break down by 2 PM if I apply it at 8 AM in the morning, unfortunately. Make sure to carry it with you for touch-ups throughout the day. It tends to fade rather quickly. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinFeb 28, 2025
I carried this in my makeup pouch for touch-ups. The ingredients are great and it gives a natural look. I also love the clean, sleek design. The coverage isn't particularly strong, and due to my skin type, it tends to absorb quickly. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinFeb 24, 2025
I've been using this product consistently. I love it for its great ingredients and natural look. The price is a bit disappointing. It would be nice if we could buy refills separately. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinFeb 8, 2025
It looks incredibly natural. The subtle glow it gives to the skin is absolutely beautiful. It's just a basic brightening moisturizer. There's zero coverage, unfortunately. As someone with a lot of blemishes, I won't be repurchasing. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinFeb 6, 2025
The product ingredients were excellent, and the color payoff seemed great. It wasn't too white and looked natural on my skin. You need to reapply it frequently, and overall, the amount of product seems a bit small. I use it as a touch-up over my BB cream. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinNov 30, 2024
Great for sensitive skin. It used to give a natural, radiant finish, which is why I've been using it for so long. Even at makeup shops, they'd say it matched my skin tone perfectly. However, after the reformulation, it seems to have lost some of its brightening effect. I'm wondering if I should try the Pure Ivory shade, as my complexion now looks too dark. I thought my face looked a bit dull lately, and it turns out they've slightly changed the formula. It already had no coverage or staying power, which was disappointing, but now that it's lost its glow-boosting effect too, the only thing left going for it is the good ingredients. I think it's time to start looking for a new cushion foundation.
