Layered application of the foundation is truly excellent.

The foundation has an extremely thick and creamy texture, so it's difficult to control the amount when pumping it out. When I press down on it once, a lump comes out, so I can't use it all... 😢 The amount is also on the smaller side, so I want to use it sparingly, but it's a shame.

The Hwahae Testers say that in the summer, the base melts, and this is applied so thinly that it's really the thinnest they've ever felt. 
So they apply it thinly all over, and then apply it thinly to areas with blemishes or spots, and the skin expression is amazing... 
You don't need to retouch your makeup all day, and this summer I'm confident because of this.

Let me start by introducing my skin type: I have extremely dry skin with a warm undertone, slightly lighter than shade 21 with a strong yellow tinge. I usually prefer foundations with a glowy finish. My go-to choices for winter are the Amuse Dew Wear Foundation 01 Pure and the NARS Skin Reflector Foundation in Mont Blanc. When comparing the About:Tone foundation with NARS Skin Reflector, which is a tad lighter than shade 21, you'll notice they're quite similar in color. When applied, it sets beautifully without any yellow cast, giving a clean finish. For those with dry skin, if you're diligent with your skincare routine, you can use this foundation comfortably without any patchiness. I applied it over a slightly more hydrating base product, and it went on smoothly without any darkening. It's truly impressive how well it adheres to the skin! Here are some key points: It's perfectly balanced - no debates about pink or yellow undertones. It has a brightening effect while still looking like your natural complexion. Every time I wear this out, I get asked 'What foundation are you using?' all day long!

Skin appearance: I have combination dehydrated skin with textural issues and large pores. I'm not sure if this foundation deserves all the hype. I tried applying it with a brush, spatula, and puff. Right after application, the skin looks smooth and pretty (covers pores well, not sure about texture). The coverage for pores is good, but I'm unsure about texture improvement. It's very matte, so mixing it with BB cream might be better.

Longevity: Despite its matte finish and adherence to the skin, the longevity was a bit disappointing. It doesn't break down by mixing with oils to create a dewy finish. Instead, it seems to sit on top of the skin, making dead skin cells and pores more visible. Even with good skincare, the results were just... meh.

Also, I felt the darkening effect was quite severe. Even with a brightening moisturizer underneath, it still darkened. For my shade 21 skin, the About Tone 22 was a perfect match (it darkens without a brightening base, but hardly any darkening with one). The About Tone Cool 21 was way too light, while the regular 21 darkened significantly whether I used a brightening base or not.

Packaging: The puff is really terrible. The container itself is pretty, but the poor quality puff makes rushed mornings a bit annoying. However, I got it for an incredibly low price on Musinsa, so I guess it's forgivable at that price point.

I always mix it with a brightening moisturizer. Since I tend to have quite a bit of dead skin cells, I exfoliate with Mamonde before applying foundation. This really helps the makeup adhere well. I apply a thin layer of foundation, then quickly spritz with a face mist and pat it in rapidly.

One downside is that it tends to darken quickly on my skin over time. For those considering purchasing, I'd recommend going a shade lighter or mixing it with a brightening moisturizer (I mix mine with Torriden's purple tone-up sunscreen).

Coverage: Excellent. It covers almost all blemishes on my troubled skin. A thin layer conceals redness and blemishes, and with an additional layer, redness is completely covered and blemishes are mostly hidden. (Note: Very red blemishes or faint marks may still show through slightly, so using a concealer on top is recommended.)

Adherence: As it's a semi-matte formula, it becomes more matte over time. The adherence is the best I've experienced among all foundations I've tried.

Settling: This product doesn't apply thick, but rather goes on thinly, so settling into lines around the nose or smile lines isn't too noticeable. (However, it may clump slightly over time, but can be easily smoothed out with a puff or fingers.)

Longevity: I have oily skin, so oil does come through on my nose, and the product can rub off slightly if touched. However, compared to other foundations, I'd rate its longevity as above average.

Caking, Settling, and Breakdown: These are crucial factors. Even when oil starts to come through, I didn't notice any significant settling into pores, white patches appearing, or unnatural skin texture. The breakdown wasn't particularly noticeable either.

Who would I recommend this to?: I highly recommend this for those with oily skin. As someone with oily skin myself, I've never experienced a foundation with such good resistance to breakdown, settling, caking, while maintaining great coverage and longevity. Those with dry skin can use it too. Just ensure you have a solid skincare routine, exfoliate well, and apply thinly for a beautiful skin finish (the smooth application makes it easy to work with).

While I don't have many specific tips, applying a thin layer with a spatula and then blending with a puff gives beautiful results! It's a great foundation for students too - affordable with just the right amount of product. I'm completely smitten with it.

Downsides? What downsides? It's just perfect. I'm curious about the secret behind this amazing How About You base!

The coverage, adherence, and longevity are all fantastic! It covers most blemishes effortlessly. With a touch of concealer, it's simply flawless. It makes your skin look incredibly smooth. There's minimal caking and almost no pore-clogging. It's absolutely swoon-worthy! The adherence is just top-notch. How can such great coverage apply so thinly? It's unbelievable how smoothly and thinly it goes on. The longevity is as impressive as its adherence - it lasts amazingly long. The shade is also perfect - not too yellow, not too pink, just a beautifully natural color! As a cool-toned person who dislikes pink bases, I love how this just slightly brightens my natural skin tone. I think I've found my holy grail foundation. It's the best I've used so far, even better than E*tee Lauder in my opinion.
