I usually use shade 21, but after testing, I found it too light, so I bought shade 22 - and it was such a great choice! Unless you have a naturally fair complexion that matches shade 21, I highly recommend going for shade 22. I have extremely oily skin that tends to break up and look messy even with setting spray, plus I have blemishes and dark spots. But since switching to this, I've been getting a lot of compliments on my skin looking better. I can see the improvement myself too. There's hardly any oxidation, and I don't need to touch up from 7 AM to 3 PM (with setting spray, of course). Just pressing some powder to control oil is enough. While I do have quite noticeable skin imperfections, even applying a thin layer of concealer and building up the foundation with a couple of light layers doesn't fully cover bluish marks. This foundation pairs amazingly well with the $3 foundation brush from Daiso. It applies quickly, and it really helps conceal pores effectively. It also works great with the About Tone powder, no doubt about it. - dk*****Combination SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsRednessRecommendedJun 16, 2025
Adheres well and looks natural. Super hydrating! The coverage isn't as good as expected, and it still clings to nose pores. - dy****Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJun 16, 2025
Coverage: ●●●●○ The matte finish provides excellent coverage Adherence: ●●●●● Apply by gently patting, not rubbing, for best results Unlike some foundations that break down and turn grayish, this one maintains its color Once applied properly, it has great staying power As someone with dry skin, using this alone can make my skin feel tight and uncomfortable. Mixing it with essence or cream works much better Those with oily skin will likely be very satisfied with this product This foundation offers impressive coverage and longevity, especially for those with oily complexions. Its matte finish helps control shine while providing excellent adherence when applied correctly. However, if you have dry skin like me, you might find it a bit drying when used alone. I've found that mixing it with a hydrating essence or moisturizer creates a more comfortable wear. The fact that it doesn't oxidize or turn grayish throughout the day is a major plus. Overall, it's a great option for those looking for long-lasting, high-coverage foundation, particularly if you have combination or oily skin. - ma*********Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJun 15, 2025
As someone with sensitive skin, I'm absolutely thrilled with this product! The staying power is exceptional, and it gives my complexion a flawless finish. The color seems to be on the natural side. If you prefer a brighter look, you might want to consider using a brightening moisturizer with it! This review highlights the product's suitability for sensitive skin, its impressive longevity, and ability to create a clean, polished appearance. The reviewer also notes that the color is natural-looking, suggesting it might be too subtle for those who prefer a more dramatic effect. - ur**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJun 14, 2025
A foundation that's "good for its price" After seeing positive reviews from beauty influencers, I decided to give it a try. I can definitely say the quality is impressive considering the price point. Coverage: High Staying power: Above average While it's good for its price, I wouldn't say it's a foundation worthy of rave reviews. I've seen many comments claiming it's on par with high-end department store foundations, but I personally didn't find that to be the case. First off, the overall color is quite pale and has a pinkish tint. The formula is also on the thicker side, resulting in a heavier skin finish (I applied it with a brush!). This might actually be a plus for those who like to layer various color cosmetics and do contouring - it really creates a blank canvas effect on your face. I think this is why many beauty influencers recommend it! The pump dispenser is absolutely terrible. It broke on my second use. This foundation offers decent value for money, but it may not suit everyone's preferences. It provides good coverage and staying power, making it a solid choice for those who enjoy a full-coverage look or like to experiment with different makeup techniques. However, the thick consistency and pale, pinkish undertone might not be ideal for those seeking a natural, lightweight finish. The unreliable pump dispenser is also a significant drawback. Overall, it's worth trying if you're looking for an affordable foundation with high coverage, but manage your expectations regarding its performance compared to luxury brands. - dl*********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJun 13, 2025
The coverage is truly impressive! You can achieve full coverage without even needing to layer it twice. While the coverage is excellent, it can feel a bit heavy on the skin and tends to sit on top rather than blend in seamlessly. This foundation seems to offer high coverage, which is great for concealing blemishes and evening out the complexion. However, it might be best suited for those who prefer a more full-coverage look. For a more natural finish, you might want to try applying it with a damp beauty sponge or mixing it with a bit of moisturizer to sheer it out. - gd********Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 9, 2025
The coverage is absolutely incredible, and it's amazing at concealing pores. The staying power is excellent, and it's even water-resistant. I'd highly recommend this to anyone who loves a semi-matte finish. It doesn't cake up at all and performs exceptionally well. If you're looking for a foundation to use regularly, I strongly suggest trying the About Tone foundation. The best part? It's so affordable too! The only downside is that touch-ups can be a bit tricky, which is somewhat disappointing. This foundation seems to be a great option for those seeking high coverage and long-lasting wear. Its ability to conceal pores and resist water makes it suitable for various skin types and lifestyles. The semi-matte finish is particularly appealing for those who want a natural-looking complexion without excessive shine. However, the difficulty in touch-ups might be a concern for those who need to refresh their makeup throughout the day. - xx********Dry SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedJun 8, 2025
The color is beautiful, it adheres perfectly to the skin, and the coverage is fantastic! I highly recommend it! I bought shade 23, but it's quite light, so I don't think I'll use it much. When choosing a foundation shade, it's always a good idea to test it on your jawline in natural light before purchasing. If you find the shade too light, you might consider mixing it with a darker foundation or using it as a brightening moisturizer for certain areas of your face to even out your skin tone. - ch*********Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinDead Skin CellsRecommendedJun 6, 2025
This is the best foundation I've come across since VDL. It's beautiful even as it wears throughout the day, with excellent coverage and adherence - there's not a single flaw in this foundation. The shade range is also beautifully curated. It's truly a foundation I'm actively using and loving right now. As of now, while I'm using it, I haven't found any disappointing aspects. - hy********Dry SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedJun 6, 2025
This is truly my all-time favorite foundation! The coverage is fantastic, and it barely darkens throughout the day. It might be a tad dry for those with very dry skin (though it works well if you spritz some face mist or mix it with a moisturizing BB cream). If you apply thin layers with a spatula, you can build up amazing coverage.
