After trying the essence and loving it, I jumped at the chance to try the emulsion at a great price! It's a milky emulsion that doesn't run but absorbs well into the skin. The absorption is excellent, and it leaves my skin feeling smooth. In summer, I think I could finish my routine with this after toner and essence, without needing a cream.
ConsIn winter, you'll definitely need to follow up with a cream. Perhaps because of my combination dehydrated skin, I feel a bit of deep dryness.

It absorbs well, making it comfortable for those with oily skin to apply.
ConsIt doesn't have any extraordinary advantages, just feels like a standard emulsion. It's not a must-have product that you'd absolutely need.

It's an emulsion that's richer in oils than in hydration. Some emulsions feel moisturizing right after application but dry out quickly; this product, however, keeps your skin feeling moisturized for a long time. As someone with combination skin, I applied it in the morning under my makeup and didn't feel any dryness even by evening. The trade-off is that it can make your skin look a bit oily. I was even asked why I was sweating so much on the day I used it - my skin was that glowy! (Though I tend to get oily in the afternoon anyway). That's why I think it would be perfect for those with dry skin! My skin felt comfortable, and I didn't experience any blemishes.
ConsThe packaging is a bit inconvenient. It's difficult to control how much product comes out. Sometimes too much comes out at once, which is wasteful and disappointing.

I was surprised at first, as it's quite different for an emulsion. But using it, I found it easier to apply since it doesn't drip everywhere! 💧Hydration that's not too heavy for combination dehydrated skin I wondered why they called it an emulsion rather than a cream, but after using it, I understood. While the texture feels like a cream, it's much lighter in terms of hydration! This makes it great for layering. I applied it twice on my dry cheeks and lightly on my T-zone where I have large pores and excess oil. If you zoom in on the photo, you can see it smooths out dead skin cells on the cheeks, slightly tightens pores that look stretched due to dryness, all while providing just enough moisture to prevent oil overproduction! 💬 etc. With combination skin, you sometimes need multiple products for different areas. This emulsion is convenient because you can simply apply more to drier areas. It simplifies your routine - no need to use or store many different products on your vanity, which makes daily life a bit easier!
ConsThe texture is quite firm like a cream, but the dispenser is at the top, which means you have to flip it over and tap it every time you use it. This is really inconvenient! I compared it with the Dicktionary toner I was using, which has a larger bottle but isn't inconvenient at all! However, even though this emulsion bottle is smaller, having to flip it over every time puts a strain on my wrist, which is disappointing. Considering the texture, a squeeze tube or pump bottle would be more suitable for this emulsion!

Due to my extreme inner dryness, I prefer products that provide deep hydration. Texture: It's a semi-transparent emulsion with a moderately thin consistency. It's neither too thick nor too runny! Application: Being an emulsion, I was worried it might feel greasy, but surprisingly, it finishes smoothly without any stickiness! While it doesn't leave a completely matte finish, it's not far from it. What's more, it doesn't cause any tightness, which I absolutely love about its feel! Scent: It's fragrance-free, which is great as there's nothing to irritate the senses! Overall: I think this emulsion is perfect for balancing oil and moisture in combination dehydrated skin! During seasonal changes, my skin often peels due to dryness, but while using this product, I didn't experience any such symptoms. Moreover, it didn't leave my skin feeling greasy, which I'm very satisfied with!
ConsThe product cap isn't the most user-friendly. It's a bit cumbersome to open the lid every time and carefully control the amount squeezed out.

I have skin prone to occasional blemishes. [Review after 10 days of use] Texture: It has a slightly thick consistency that doesn't run and is opaque. I love that it doesn't drip! Application: It applies smoothly and feels moisturizing on the skin. Absorption: It absorbs well quickly without feeling overly rich. Ingredients: I'm pleased that it doesn't contain any cautionary ingredients listed by Hwahae. Blemishes: I didn't experience any significant blemishes while using it. Makeup base: Using just this emulsion as a base before makeup worked well, allowing my makeup to apply smoothly. Overall, it's a great basic skincare item - simple, clean, and effective! I like that it's lightweight while still providing good hydration.
ConsPackaging: Controlling the amount dispensed can be slightly tricky. Sometimes a lot comes out as air escapes from the bottle.
TipIt works wonderfully when applied lightly under dry eyes after makeup. It helps minimize the appearance of dead skin cells and keeps the under-eye area moisturized!

It's perfect for those looking for a gentle emulsion with good ingredients, with a consistency similar to a thin essence. The texture is not runny, but rather somewhere between an essence and an emulsion. It applies very softly and absorbs quickly. Unlike some emulsions that leave a greasy finish, this product absorbs well and doesn't leave a shiny residue.
ConsWhile the product itself is decent, I personally find the packaging less than ideal. You need to squeeze it upside down, but the container isn't completely pliable, so you have to apply some force. This can lead to sudden bursts of product, making it difficult to control the amount. A pump-style dispenser would have been more convenient to use. Also, those with dry skin might find it lacks sufficient hydration when used alone.

As someone sensitive to fragrances in cosmetics, I was very satisfied using this. **Texture: An emulsion-type product with a moderate viscosity that doesn't drip. **Application & Feel: It applies smoothly, and layering creates a thin moisturizing barrier. Although absorption is a bit slow, I recommend applying multiple thin layers. After application, skin feels soft and incredibly hydrated! **Makeup Compatibility: It quickly fills the skin with a smooth glow and hydration. Sunscreen and makeup products apply without pilling, and makeup adheres well. This could become a must-have item before makeup application.
Cons**Packaging: While clean and user-friendly, the wide opening means product can dispense too quickly if you're not careful with pressure control!
Tip**Recommended Skin Types: For my deeply dehydrated dry skin, it worked well as a serum replacement in fall and winter. In summer, it was hydrating enough to use instead of cream. It's great for combination dehydrated skin types seeking hydration, while those with oily skin should use sparingly.

There's a subtle smell, but it doesn't appear to have any added fragrance. Personally, I really appreciate unscented products. Texture: It's a thin cream consistency that doesn't run. Experience: I have combination dehydrated skin with oily T-zone and butterfly zone, but dry elsewhere. Overall, I'm very satisfied. It maintained oil balance, especially on my cheeks, until evening. In the morning, I needed a lightweight product with some richness, as heavy creams feel too much, and this was perfect. I don't usually wear makeup, but I had an event this week and used this before applying. There was no deep dryness or pilling, making it an essential item for me.
ConsThe rich texture might be too heavy for those with oily skin. While the packaging is nice, it's a bit difficult to dispense the product. You need to shake it vigorously... But if you store it upside down, it comes out easily!
TipLayering it multiple times gives amazing hydration. Even when you're in a rush in the morning, applying just one layer prevents any feeling of tightness.

Application: Rather than giving an overly intense glow, it feels like it locks in deep hydration to bring out an inner radiance. I usually minimize my skincare steps during makeup application to prevent pilling or smudging. This is perfect for the drier autumn and winter months. Despite being an emulsion, it absorbs quickly into the skin, creating a makeup-ready canvas. Scent: It's fragrance-free, making it suitable even for those with sensitive noses. Performance with makeup: I had a large blemish on my chin that needed concealer, but there was no caking or emphasizing of texture. The cheek area maintained a subtle glow. Even during long outings, there was no breakdown due to the emulsion's richness, which I appreciated. (I used Espoir Be Velvet foundation for a slightly semi-matte finish)
ConsThose with extremely dry skin might find it slightly lacking in moisture. The plastic container requires some practice to control the amount dispensed, unlike a tube format. It gets easier with use, though.
TipAfter prepping with a toner pad and applying a clear hydrating ampoule before the emulsion, I noticed an even more supple inner glow. Gently patting in 2-3 thin layers resulted in a much better makeup base. I found the best skin finish when I finished my skincare with this emulsion, followed by a hydrating sunscreen. The emulsion provides good hydration on its own, so adding a cream on top might be too much.
