It doesn't make my skin look overly white, and I used it like a lotion on my bare face as well. I also used it as a base before applying foundation. For people with redness, it makes their skin look beautifully smooth and even-toned. When I applied it during very dry periods, it tended to accentuate my natural skin flakiness. However, after exfoliating and reapplying, it looked much better. I've been using this since middle school, and now at 23, it's still my go-to (that says it all). As a skincare nomad, this is the only product I've settled on. I was obsessed with brightening moisturizers and tried everything, but nothing compares to this. It naturally brightens your complexion like tofu, without looking artificial. You can even sleep with it on - it's that good, and the price is reasonable too. When I had facial dermatitis and no other cream worked, this was the only one that didn't irritate my skin. I'll use it forever, so please never discontinue it! Also, when I applied this whitening cream along with the IOPE peptide essence, doctors at the university hospital asked what I was using because my skin had such an Inner Glow. The way this absorbs is fantastic! It applies so lightly and smoothly, making it perfect for daily use. I usually avoid makeup because I hate feeling suffocated, but this feels more like skincare, so it's not burdensome at all. If someone asks, I could even say I'm bare-faced - that's how natural it looks! I haven't found any downsides while using it yet, but if I had to nitpick, maybe the polka dot packaging...? I apply this, then use my regular lipstick for a touch of color on my cheeks, fill in my eyebrows, and I'm ready for work. It's so effortless, yet when I look in the mirror, it makes me feel great!
