Usually, I apply collagen masks after my full skincare routine since they're not very moisturizing on their own. But with this one, it works great even if you just use a toner pad before applying. I found the most comfortable and balanced hydration when I used a toner pad, followed by a light, oil-free serum, then this mask for 2-3 hours. After removing it, there's a nice glow, but it's different from collagen masks. Instead of a refined inner glow, it leaves a subtle, dewy finish on the surface that looks luminous. The hydration is definitely superior though. When you remove it after it becomes completely clear, your skin feels soft, moisturized, and wonderfully nourished. Unlike other collagen masks that rely on your skincare routine for hydration and glow, this one performs well even with minimal prep, showcasing its own effectiveness. The next day, my skin still feels hydrated after cleansing, and makeup goes on smoothly. I think this might become my new favorite gel-type mask.
ConsIt has a scent similar to aloe vera products, and I noticed fragrance in the ingredients list. While it's not unpleasant, it's a bit strong for my liking. I wish they'd remove the fragrance since it doesn't offer any skin benefits. The mask doesn't adhere very well to the skin. It tends to slip and takes a while to fully stick. It's slightly rich, so I wouldn't recommend it for oily skin in hot summer weather. I noticed some oil buildup in my pores. Because of this, I didn't really see any pore-minimizing effects. Despite these issues, I'm still satisfied because it significantly improved my overall skin condition.
TipWhen using this mask, keep in mind that it may not be suitable for those with super sensitive skin due to the added fragrance. For combination dehydrated skin types, you might want to focus the mask on drier areas to avoid excess oil in the T-zone. Remember to patch test if you're prone to allergic reactions, and discontinue use if you experience any burning sensation or tingling. To enhance the hydrating effects, you could try layering a lightweight hyaluronic acid serum underneath for an extra boost of moisture.
