It absorbs well, leaving the skin feeling hydrated. The scent is pleasant without being overpowering. The moisturizing effect is quite good too. The price point isn't exactly budget-friendly, which is a bit disappointing. It's moisturizing and absorbs well. I used to order a lot from Germany, and this is exactly like that calendula lip balm - you know, the one that looks like yellow wax? If you're into that kind of lip balm, I highly recommend this. Even after one use, you can visibly see where it's been applied. The texture is soft and melts easily with lip heat, which makes me wonder if it might melt too much in summer. Wow, I bought a mask pack and got a lip balm gratis! The mask was great, but the lip balm is really something special too. I had just run out of the lip balm I keep in the living room, so I opened this one right away. I love Blistex lip balms and use them down to the last drop, but this Illumiel lip balm absorbs so smoothly. Even though it's for lips, it's free of harmful ingredients, which is fantastic! I can't find anything to complain about! The packaging is pretty, it's free of harmful ingredients, and it's so hydrating. The application is incredibly smooth. Even if you rub your lips together after applying, it stays put without absorbing too quickly or pilling. It's surprisingly non-suffocating. While not thick, it's not too light either, giving a sensation of comfortably covering the lips without drying them out. Describing it as both rich and hydrating seems accurate. For me, there's a strong waxy scent. I dislike the smell that comes from products with 'butter' in the name, and this has that smell. It reminds me of old clay or play-doh. Apply it to dry areas. In a pinch, it's also good for applying to areas with dead skin cells or blemishes on the face.

My lips are glistening with moisture... I like this even more than the full-size product! I've been hesitant to use lip glosses because they're temporary and often have questionable ingredients. Petroleum-based products disappear quickly, requiring frequent reapplication. But this? One application lasts all day. I used to have issues with my lips sticking together in fall and winter, but I've found my holy grail lip balm! Nope, there's absolutely nothing to complain about. I'll definitely stock up during their frequent 1+1 sales!
