Thank you to The Hwahae Testers for providing this product! The texture is surprisingly a bouncy gel with red beads (apparently for hydration), not the thick cream I expected for a night cream. The cooling effect is amazing - so refreshing after a shower! The gel texture applies and absorbs wonderfully. While it might not be enough on its own in the dead of winter, applying it twice works well. The strawberry scent and look are mood-boosting! For a night cream, the hydration is a bit lacking. One application left my eye area and smile lines dry, though two layers helped. Even with double application before makeup on important days, it didn't fully calm my dead skin cells - I had to use another balm to soothe them. As for the whitening, anti-wrinkle, and pore-refining effects, I'll need more time to see results (not expecting much though). Applying three layers before bed definitely results in smoother skin texture in the morning. (Using a toner pad in the previous step is a must!) - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 6, 2024
Since we use skincare products every morning and evening, I found the adorably cute packaging to be an unexpected bonus point. Of course, I was also satisfied with other aspects like the fragrance and how it absorbs. It has the typical texture of a moisturizer, absorbs quickly, leaving the skin feeling hydrated. I have two cats, and I love that it doesn't leave my face sticky, so their fur doesn't stick to it - the clean finish is great! Some creams that finish a bit sticky might be good for hydration, but it's slightly inconvenient when cat hair gets all over your face and in your eyes. The quick absorption and fresh finish might be a matter of personal preference. While it might be a bit lacking for winter, I think it would be great for the rest of the year. I'm in my 30s with extremely dry skin! It's currently December with cold, dry weather, and even though I run a humidifier 24/7, using this cream along with skin pads and serum still leaves my skin feeling a bit dry! Of course, it provides basic hydration, so I don't experience flaking or itchy dryness, but when I touch my skin, I can still feel some dryness. For those with dry skin, you might find it more satisfying to mix in a tiny bit of Vaseline when finishing your skincare routine. I watched a dermatologist's YouTube video where they recommended applying just a tiny amount of Vaseline, about half a fingernail's worth, as the final step in skincare.
