It provides more hydration than I expected. As I have dry skin, I use it as a final step in my evening routine and apply a small amount before sunscreen in the morning. Even when I apply makeup over my moisturizer and sunscreen in the morning, my skin looks flawless without any pilling. Effects: Although I've only been using it for about a week and haven't seen dramatic results yet, my skin seems brighter than before. I plan to continue using it to observe its effects on dark spots and overall brightening.
ConsFragrance: I'm not sure if it's just me, but it has a scent that reminds me of my mother's cosmetics from when I was young. Every time I use it, it brings back childhood memories. Those who prefer fragrance-free products might find the scent a bit strong.

Applies and absorbs well •Perfect for my skin - light yet moisturizing! Two layers provide ample hydration. The oil and moisture balance seems ideal. •Blemish improvement: While I haven't seen significant effects on dark spots yet, my overall complexion appears brighter. This might require at least 2 weeks of use to fully assess.
Cons•Scent: It has a citrus fragrance that reminds me of detergent! Not overpowering, but personally, I don't find it particularly pleasant. •Glass packaging: I appreciate the glass feel, but some might dislike its weight.

I developed some blemishes a few years ago due to not applying sunscreen regularly in summer - how careless of me! Even with a good skincare routine, sunscreen would make my skin feel oily or tight, and the double cleansing was such a hassle. Since last year, with my east-facing window, I've been sleeping with the morning sun on my face, causing the blemishes to spread to both cheeks - dark, patchy spots that look like large dots. What a shock! I've been consistently applying whitening serum every night, trying new ones after finishing each bottle based on promising promotions. With my dry skin, the serum's moisture evaporates quickly rather than absorbing deeply. I apply a moisturizer on top before bed. This routine seems to have prevented further darkening. I also started drinking lemon water for its Vitamin C, which helped a bit. The dark patches slightly faded but didn't disappear completely. Then I discovered the Vichy cream for deep blemishes through The Hwahae Testers! It was exactly what I'd been looking for. My first impression was that it's a nicely hydrating cream with good staying power. However, due to my dry skin and heating, it felt absorbed by morning. I found layering works best - applying an oil toner, then a light moisturizer, waiting 30 minutes, and finally the Vichy cream. This keeps my skin hydrated until morning, allowing the blemish-fighting ingredients to work longer. After a week, while I can't claim dramatic results, I feel the dark spots are slightly lighter and seem to be shrinking gradually. My overall complexion appears brighter too. I'm hopeful for more improvement after finishing the jar. Interestingly, my mother, who used to open the curtains wide every morning, commented on my improved skin without prompting! The cream definitely seems more effective than serums, as it stays on the skin longer.
ConsThe jar design is a bit outdated... not very appealing, just overly simple. The scent is fresh with a hint of floral, but there's also a whiff of that strong smell typical in men's cosmetics. When applying it all over my face, if it gets on my lips, the cosmetic taste is so strong it makes me want to spit. I have to be careful to avoid my lips when applying.
TipFor winter hydration that lasts, I apply an oil toner as a base first, wait a bit, then apply the Vichy cream. Applying them one right after the other makes the hydration evaporate quickly, reducing the moisturizing effect.

True to its gentle formula, minus the fragrance, this cream didn't cause any itching or blemishes, which I really appreciated. Although it has a rich texture more like a nourishing cream than a hydrating one, it applies smoothly without feeling heavy, pilling, or greasy. It absorbs quickly, making it perfect for someone like me who doesn't enjoy overly rich creams. What's more, it offers both brightening and anti-wrinkle benefits, so I don't need to layer on an eye cream - it's wonderfully fuss-free. After using it consistently for a week, I haven't noticed any dramatic changes. However, I believe with continued use of the entire jar, it might help fade light pigmentation. My complexion does look brighter overall.
ConsThe scent is quite strong and artificial, reminiscent of modeling masks, which might be polarizing. Personally, I wasn't a fan of the intense fragrance. It may be a bit too dry to use alone during winter months.
TipIn my final skincare steps, I apply a mist or cream, then finish with another layer of this nourishing cream for extra hydration.
