That's when I discovered this dark spot cream. The clear, transparent container gives off a clean impression right away, and the lid is so easy to open and close. The size is just right - not too big or small, fitting perfectly in my hand. My skin type is combination dehydrated. In winter, it becomes extremely dry, requiring generous application of hydrating products. When I apply this cream, it feels like a thin film forms on my skin, like an extra layer. I'll need to use it longer to see if it actually lightens my dark spots. I tested it on my hand first, and wow, it left such a beautiful glow! It spreads very smoothly and has a subtle fragrance that gently diffuses. It's kind of like a rose scent? It's not too strong, so I don't mind it.
ConsIt feels more rich than hydrating... So for my moisture-lacking skin, it feels more like a layer sitting on top rather than providing deep hydration. It's a scented product, and personally, I prefer fragrance-free options.

This cream passed that test with flying colors! ▪ Hydration While there are many lightweight moisturizers out there, it's surprisingly hard to find one that maintains hydration without oils. That's why I'm always on the hunt for a good moisturizer come winter. The Vichy cream, however, keeps my skin hydrated for hours! It's not just the light hydration of a water cream, but a moisturizing effect that combats dryness even in cold winter weather. Of course, this is from a combination skin perspective, so I'm not sure how it would work for those with dry skin. ▪ Absorption It absorbs well, making it great for use under makeup. I've never experienced any pilling with my base makeup! ▪ Brightening As a 'deep spot cream', it contains brightening ingredients, which I appreciate. While I don't have many dark spots to test its effectiveness on those, I've noticed my blemish marks gradually fading! To be honest, the effects aren't dramatic, but it does seem to help with evening out skin tone.
ConsGiven that it provides moisture to combat dryness, you can feel a slight richness to it. It's not as rich as a thick cream, but it might be a bit much to apply all over for those with very oily skin.
TipIf you have oily skin and find it too rich to apply all over, try using it just on dry areas or spots where you want to target blemishes!
