It really helps control oil! I'm planning to use it diligently to keep my bangs from getting greasy. Where do I even begin... I applied it over my base makeup to control oil, and pressed it onto my skin. Good heavens, it caked up horribly <<photo attached>>. It left a powdery residue on my face that just wouldn't budge. I tried brushing it off - no luck. Even scratching with my nails didn't work. In the end, I had to either wash my face or go out looking like that... My skin doesn't normally look this way. I've gone through two full compacts of the Daiso lavender one. I bought this new release hoping for an upgrade, but... At first I thought the puff might be the issue, so I bought a new one. It seemed fine initially, but with continued use, the puff caked up unusually fast, leading to caking on my face. I really don't understand why this keeps happening. If it at least made my skin look pretty, I'd find a way to make it work. But it manages to control oil while making my skin look dry and highlighting every single pore. It's quite the feat. My pores aren't even that noticeable normally, but this somehow makes them look darker and more obvious. I'll still use it to control oil on my bangs, but for anyone reading this review - if you're going to buy from Daiso, go for the Ipkun or Botanical Garden lines instead. This one is even more expensive too... sigh. This review provides a detailed account of the user's experience with a powder product, likely a setting powder or oil control powder. The reviewer expresses disappointment with how the product performs, noting issues with caking, difficulty in blending, and emphasizing pores. They compare it unfavorably to a previous Daiso product they had used. The review warns other potential buyers and recommends alternative options from the same brand. The tone is frustrated but still attempts to find some use for the product.
