Since it's a pre-shampoo scalp pack, the unfamiliar usage method feels strange, making it less appealing to use regularly.

This product cools down the scalp and provides hydration! As soon as you open it, there's a strong mint scent. The texture is like a chewy flour dough. When applied to the scalp, it gives a pleasant cooling effect that doesn't just last for a moment, but continues for the entire 15 minutes of the scalp pack. It's incredibly refreshing in summer!! Even after showering, the scalp feels cool. It seems to nourish the hair roots too, as the hair where the pack was applied feels incredibly soft. The scalp feels soothed and moisturized.

Compared to getting expensive scalp treatments at a salon, using Roots once or twice a week at home is a worthwhile investment, even if it's a bit of a hassle. For those struggling with scalp odor, itchiness, or dandruff, I think this product will be quite satisfying.

However, I find it's almost ineffective when applied to wet hair. While it's fine to use when you have time to apply it to your scalp before showering, for busy modern people who just want to quickly shower and rest when tired, this product isn't really suitable for daily use. It's clear that for the best results, it needs to be applied to a dry scalp and left on for at least 20 minutes. I wouldn't recommend this for people who tend to be lazy with their routines.

My husband, who used to work at Lush, recommended this product. Given my trust in Lush's natural ingredients, I decided to purchase Roots, thinking it would be worth the price. And my conclusion? It's definitely worth every penny. The instructions suggest applying it to a dry scalp for 15-20 minutes, massaging it in for best results. That's how I've been using it. When I have extra time, I apply it before I shower (before undressing), do some housework, and rinse it off after about 30 minutes. It feels incredibly refreshing and invigorating. The day after using this, I notice significantly less oil on my scalp.
