After using the Glow Foundation, I was so impressed that I decided to try the cushion version as well. However, to cut to the chase, I can't recommend it. The only positives I can mention are that it gives a slight glow when applied and somewhat evens out the complexion. That's about it. The coverage is even less effective than a brightening moisturizer, in my opinion. Because of this, I'd suggest using it for touch-ups rather than as your main base. One good point is that the color itself is bright and radiant, which I appreciate. There's definitely a noticeable difference between department store and drugstore shades - drugstore ones tend to be much lighter. First off, the coverage is significantly lower compared to the foundation. The Glow Foundation itself isn't known for high coverage, but this cushion literally covers nothing. I'd recommend this for people with already good skin who just want to even out their complexion. I'm usually not too picky about coverage, but with this, it barely feels like I've applied anything. The staying power is also very poor. Moreover, it doesn't adhere well to the skin at all and doesn't set properly. Skip the cushion and go for the foundation! They're worlds apart in terms of performance! - hj*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsMay 31, 2025
The staying power seems quite impressive! The color has a luxurious feel without any ashy undertones. Personally, I found it to have a nice matte finish. To be honest, it feels a bit lacking considering the price... It's rather stiff and doesn't spread easily, so you need to use quite a bit. But then it leaves a heavy, cakey feeling that's hard to shake off. - ah***Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessApr 27, 2025
I have sensitive skin. I've always liked the Hera brand and frequently used their foundation, cushion, blush, lip products, etc. without any blemishes. I also used their pre-renewal Glow Cushion a lot. This product seems suitable for those who don't need much coverage. This product completely wrecked my skin. My skin was in good condition due to recent care, and I trusted Hera, so I used it for about two days... but it was disastrous. When I switched back to my previous cushion, my skin cleared up in two days, confirming this cushion was the culprit. I used the pre-renewal version too, so I'm not sure what ingredient doesn't agree with me. The coverage is really poor, even less than the previous ReGlow Cushion. The application isn't great either... Some might say the cushion builds up as you apply it, but I felt it was getting too thick and didn't like it. This cushion is a failure for me. - 5n********Dry SkinRecommendedApr 25, 2025
I've been using this for a year after switching from the Hera Black Cushion, and I love how hydrating it is While it's moisturizing, it seems to compromise a bit on coverage - an*****Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedApr 21, 2025
It gives a nice brightening effect while adhering well to the skin. It also holds up well over time with minimal breakdown. As it's a sheer formula, the coverage is on the lighter side. You'll need to use a concealer along with it for more coverage. - sa*********Dry SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedApr 1, 2025
Since I don't have many blemishes on my face, this worked well for me. Right after application, it gave a subtle glow that helped improve my complexion and skin tone. It was especially great to use in this cold weather, but I think it'll be perfect for a beautiful finish regardless of your skincare routine when the weather gets warmer. Although it's marketed as a glow product, sprinkling water on a dry desert doesn't turn it into an ocean. For those with dry skin, a good skincare base is crucial. This felt slightly matte to me. - 47********Normal SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsRecommendedFeb 9, 2025
I've been using this for about 6 months and I absolutely love it. The natural coverage and adherence are great, making it perfect for school. It covers the area around my mouth and under-eye dark circles well enough that I don't really need to use concealer, which is fantastic. I use shade 21 in the cushion, and I'm satisfied with how it slightly brightens my complexion without looking unnatural or overly light. In the swatch photo, where I applied the same amount on both sides but only used the cushion on the left, it covered about 70% (it actually covers even better in person - I'd say 75-85% coverage). For those with shade 21 who want a bit more brightening effect, I'd recommend going for a lighter shade. This one gives more of an evens skin tone effect rather than significantly lightening the complexion. - bo*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedJan 28, 2025
It's not matte but moisturizing, making it great for those with dry skin. Yet it's not too oily, so it's perfectly suitable for people with oily skin too. The texture and feel are light, making it easy for anyone to use. It gives a subtle glow that makes your face look naturally radiant and beautiful! I love that the mesh net keeps the inside of the cushion clean, unlike some cushions that can get messy with use. If you're looking for heavy coverage, you might want to use this along with a concealer. - mk****Combination SkinSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedJan 13, 2025
As someone with a yellow undertone who uses shade 21, I found this product doesn't cause blemishes. It's moisturizing and adheres well to the skin. It doesn't leave a greasy finish. The coverage is just average, and it doesn't give a particularly radiant look. After about an hour, it settles into smile lines and shows some creasing. By the 8-hour mark, it has naturally faded away. To prevent smudging, especially around the eyes, you should set it with powder. Keep in mind this is a glow-type product. - to******Combination SkinInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedJan 13, 2025
I used to only use the Black Cushion from the same brand, but even though it gave good coverage, the matte finish combined with the cold winter winds left the sides of my face dry. I tried switching to other brands, but when considering color match, how it looks when it breaks down, application, and caking, Hera cushions are the best. I used to apply tons of skincare on specific areas before using the Black Cushion, but when I heard about this new release, I bought it with high hopes and I'm satisfied! My face feels hydrated, there's no patchiness, it breaks down nicely, and the color is perfect since I chose the same shade I usually use. I plan to use the Black Cushion in summer and this one in winter. I hope it performs well for a long time and doesn't get discontinued! Because it has a moisturizing feel, if you layer it on immediately, it can leave slight marks. It's best to apply one layer, wait a bit to let it set, then build up for the right coverage.
