I received this product as part of the Hwahae Testers program and used it for two weeks. It absorbs really well and has a nice, bouncy texture. The absorption is truly impressive - it doesn't leave my skin feeling dry, but instead makes it feel hydrated and supple. It's so convenient to use, and the size is perfect for carrying around. I wish it came in a larger size. It's so good that I use it every day, and it runs out too quickly... That's a bit disappointing. On days when I don't use a sheet mask, I apply this essence right after cleansing with toner. But this felt incredibly gentle without any tingling at all! After using it morning and night, I noticed my complexion brightening by day 3! Though it's 30ml, using 3 drops from the dropper should last about two months. It's meant to be applied first after cleansing, with a serum-like texture that's slightly thicker than toner. I'd definitely consider repurchasing this. This review is being posted a month later due to phone screen issues, but I wanted to share my experience✨ If I had to nitpick, the amount is small... I appreciated the subtle citrus scent, which wasn't irritating at all. Despite its high moisture content, it had a surprisingly substantial feel, making it even more pleasant to apply. However, being an essence, while it's rich in hydration, it didn't provide as much of a protective or nourishing feel for the skin barrier. I'm currently using this essence alongside another serum. My skin was super sensitive, so I had been avoiding other vitamin C products for a while. I was hesitant because I've experienced burning sensations and blemishes with vitamin C products before, but this one was incredibly gentle! 2) It's kind to those with sensitive skin prone to allergies from additives like fragrances: The color is nearly transparent, and the scent is very subtle. There's a faint, fresh soap-like fragrance that's quite pleasant. 3) It absorbs completely without pilling or sitting on top of the skin: The texture has a slight viscosity and a glossy appearance. If you wait a bit, it absorbs fully (see texture image). Even when layering with a moisturizing cream or emulsion, it absorbs smoothly. It doesn't clump or pill when applying other products, making layering easy. 4) It calms redness and evens out the complexion: Although soothing isn't its main function, I didn't expect it to calm redness, but surprisingly, it really evened out my skin tone. 5) It seems to make the skin look clearer: I already have fair skin, so using this didn't make me paler, but as my complexion became more even, it gave me a clearer appearance. Right after application, it feels a bit sticky and takes quite a while to absorb. I applied 4 drops from one pump of the dropper, and it took about 10 minutes to absorb over my entire face. Even after absorption, it doesn't absorb evenly, leaving some areas with a bit of shine. My skin texture noticeably improves by the next day. The applicator seems to lack durability. It separated not long after I started using it, so I'm using it like this now... Also, the absorption isn't quite ideal for my skin. As I've entered my mid-30s, I've noticed my skin becomes combination-oily in summer but dry in winter. I was experiencing dryness, redness around my nose, and dead skin cells flaking off. Using the CNP Laboratory ampoule followed by Physiogel cream had been helping with the flaking issue. This is my second ampoule after the CNP one, and it's wonderfully lightweight, non-greasy, and absorbs quickly. I didn't feel like it clogged my pores. It's a bit sticky at first, but that sensation lessens as it absorbs. I've been layering this ampoule with the CNP one, then topping it with Physiogel. I've noticed my complexion becoming a bit brighter. Update on 2/12: A friend passed on a compliment from someone who noticed my skin looking fair and glowing. The only addition to my routine has been this vitamin C product. It's not extremely hydrating on its own during the dry season, so it might be difficult to use alone. I think it would work better if you layer a cream on top. Due to severe dryness, I've been mixing it with the CNP Laboratory ampoule and applying Physiogel cream on top. For night care, when I layered ampoule + Nordic essence + moisturizer, it felt too rich and nourishing, so my skin 'rejected' it by morning. Switching to ampoule + Nordic essence or Nordic essence + moisturizer worked great. I was hoping the vitamin content would brighten my complexion, but I couldn't see a big difference in two weeks. It might take a month to tell. The scent is a typical fresh citrus smell from the vitamins. I liked that it felt natural and not off-putting. If you use multiple ampoules and serums, don't use this as your first step.
