When considering the price, the pore coverage and the thickness of the base are quite thin, but the coverage is quite good, so I think it's a good product. It doesn't dry out as quickly as expected compared to the formula, so if you apply it thinly with a spatula and pat it on, it's a long-lasting product. The formulation flows quite readily, so you just need to be mindful of adjusting the amount and applying less force with your hands when squeezing it out. Additionally, there is a slightly whirling sensation overall. - un*******Dehydrated SkinSebum/BlackheadsRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedMay 3, 2025
First off, I'm really satisfied with the color. It's a perfect ivory shade that doesn't lean too pink or yellow (though the photo appears slightly yellowish). As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I love that it's semi-matte. The skin finish is also great - while it's not high coverage, it looks very natural. The scent is like fresh flowers. If your skin condition isn't great, it can emphasize dead skin cells. Other than that, I can't think of any downsides. - na********Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessApr 30, 2025
As someone with a shade 21 skin tone, I bought this to mix with my current foundation that's too dark. I'd seen YouTube reviews praising its decent coverage for the price, but being a Daiso product at just 5,000 won, I didn't set my expectations too high. Long story short, if you're planning to blend it with another foundation like me, you'll likely be satisfied. However, using it alone... well, let's just say it's best suited for those blessed with naturally flawless complexions. You know what I mean, right? It's quite thin, so the coverage isn't particularly impressive on its own. So while those with great skin might be happy using this as their sole foundation, I wouldn't recommend it for those of us dealing with blemishes and acne scars. That said, if your routine involves a light foundation layer followed by targeted concealer application, this Daiso foundation could work well for you! As I mentioned earlier, it's really not great when used alone. The coverage is almost non-existent when used by itself... For mixing purposes, it's fantastic. Since it's so affordable, I'd recommend blending it with a pricier, high-coverage foundation for best results. - go************Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessRecommendedApr 27, 2025
I have naturally fair skin, so I use the lightest shade of Pure Unchou! It's absolutely amazing. I only need to cover my freckles, and I can apply this without any concealer! It brightens my complexion and barely budges. Try applying it over a brightening moisturizer for best results. For those with dry skin, it might feel a bit matte without a moisturizing base or a product that helps makeup adhere better. I experience this too... Make sure to exfoliate well before applying! I recommend using a spatula for application. Try pairing it with Missha's skin balm. It's a perfect match and gives your skin a beautiful glow! - ki**********Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsApr 26, 2025
This is the first foundation I've ever used. I bought it because it's affordable and seemed decent compared to other foundations I've seen. The tube has a slightly rounded opening, which some people like, but I'm not sure if it's good or not. However, it's easy to see how much product is left and use it up to the last drop. I chose the lightest shade, but being new to makeup, I wasn't sure if it was the right color for me. It gives a bright look, but overall it might be a bit too light? It spreads thinly and evenly, and despite its liquid consistency, it offers some coverage. Personally, I found it best to apply with a puff, adjusting the amount as needed. I liked that it's thin enough to apply without a spatula. Unfortunately, while it does even out the skin, there's a significant downside - it darkens over time. So instead of looking pretty after application, it tends to make my skin look dull or even accentuate blemishes, which is really disappointing. - cu**********Oily SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedApr 26, 2025
The coverage is excellent. Even when it fades, it does so beautifully. I have extremely oily skin, but when applied with a spatula, it goes on smoothly and doesn't smudge or disappear. It sets so quickly that you need to have lightning-fast hands to apply it effectively! For best results, use a spatula to apply it in sections, alternating between the left and right sides of your face. - my****Dry SkinSensitive SkinDark CirclesInner DrynessRecommendedApr 21, 2025
This is quite a runny, fluid formula, and I apply it thinly with a spatula before patting it on with a puff. The first thing that surprised me was the incredible adhesion. 🫢 The skin coverage is unbelievable considering the price! I have a bright complexion, so I was torn between shades 91 and 92, and even considered using a darkening product, but the Pure Vanilla ended up looking slightly ashy on me. However, it should work well for those who prefer a more luminous finish. Depending on your skin condition, it applies thinly yet adheres seamlessly, creating a semi-matte effect without the need for powder. There's some unevenness in the T-zone, but it blurs it out nicely. I'd say the coverage is medium to high thanks to the formula. There's some creasing, but not to the point of flaking. If I had to compare it to a similar foundation, Freshian's Egg-like Foundation comes to mind. While there are pros and cons due to the many active ingredients and the formula, considering the unbeatable price-to-quality ratio, it's an excellent product. The coverage is quite good and it builds up well, but due to the matte finish, the laugh lines seem a bit more pronounced, and if you don't apply the foundation properly or add extra concealer around the nose, it can look a bit cakey. It also seems to crease a bit faster than the other foundations I've used before. Everyone is different, but for me, the tightness started to be noticeable around the 3-hour mark, just based on my normal skin type. The very next day after using it, a blemish popped up right on cue. It's probably the prime suspect, unfortunately... Yes, the active ingredients are a bit disappointing. But for those with tough skin, this could be an amazingly cost-effective foundation. - ke**********Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedApr 12, 2025
It's lightweight yet provides great coverage. The thin consistency allows it to adhere well to the skin. Despite being sheer, it has a beautiful ivory tone. It's a bit tricky to squeeze out neatly, but at this price point, it would be unreasonable to expect more. - zh*******Oily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedApr 1, 2025
As someone who's only used high-end foundations, I'm thrilled to find a product for just $5 that applies so thinly. I usually end up wasting thicker foundations, but this one's a game-changer. The staying power is impressive too! Those with dry skin might find it a bit dehydrating, and the fragrance is genuinely quite strong. - hm********Dry SkinMar 30, 2025
The color is beautiful. Doesn't seem to cause any darkening. I bought it based on the color alone. After using this, I think I got a lot of blemishes on my skin. This product seems to be the culprit.
