The color payoff is fantastic, and its compact size makes it perfect for slipping into your pocket. It applies smoothly and sets to a matte finish. However, it's not a staining product, so touch-ups are definitely necessary. Since it's not a staining product, touch-ups are essential. If you're prone to visible dead skin cells on your lips, it's best to exfoliate and moisturize before application. - tj********Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedFeb 6, 2025
I took photos in the same lighting and position 30 minutes and 3 hours after application. Somehow the left side looks brighter, but the color is identical. Not sure why the photos turned out like that, haha! Texture: You MUST exfoliate your lips completely before applying! Once you've removed all the dead skin cells, it applies smoothly with a velvety finish. It does a decent job of filling in my wrinkly lips... at least for the first couple of hours. Staying power: Even though it doesn't stain, I hoped it would last longer due to its adherence. However, after 3 hours, without eating, touching my lips, or talking, it starts to dry out and emphasize fine lines. My natural lip wrinkles begin to make their presence known one by one... Color: Romand's Bear Grape is so famous, what can I say? I suspect I might be a cool summer (though I've never had my colors done), and I don't tend to look good in greys or purples. Despite my worries, it goes on quite nicely with a clear, vibrant color. I'm satisfied with the shade. You need to be careful with the amount you apply, and your lips must be perfectly exfoliated for it to look pretty. The staying power isn't great - it doesn't just fade, but it also emphasizes wrinkles and dries out your lips as it disappears. If it wears off this much without eating anything, I imagine it would be completely gone after a meal. If you squeeze it onto the back of your hand, you end up wasting product by having to use too much and wiping off the excess with a tissue. I recommend applying it directly onto a silicone tip brush or your finger instead. - al*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 25, 2025
It absorbs beautifully, feeling incredibly smooth. It's perfect as a base lip product. The color is absolutely stunning! First off, the volume is quite small. You need to squeeze pretty hard to get the product out, as it doesn't come out easily. - gk**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedJan 24, 2025
The muted, medium-intensity mauve pink color appears to have a slightly whiter tone compared to the hand swatch on the product page. The tube-style blurry velvet lip formula applies thinly and smudges well. While it doesn't completely conceal vertical lip lines, it does fill them in somewhat, likely due to the primer ingredients, resulting in less pronounced wrinkles when applied. Moreover, compared to pot-type lip products, the tube format is convenient for carrying, and the 8g quantity is generous. Although it's comfortable to apply with a brush, the 45-degree angled applicator tip allows for direct application too. Personally, I prefer using a brush or the complimentary silicone lip brush. There's minimal transfer, so the staying power is decent. It also adheres well to the lips, though there's hardly any staining effect. The scent is very subtle with a sweet note. Perhaps due to my thin application, the colors don't appear as intense as depicted. When smudged, it seems to apply somewhat sheer. To achieve the saturation shown on the product page, you'd need to apply it thickly, which would increase transfer. While the primer ingredients allow it to adhere well even on dry lips, as it's a matte lip product, proper exfoliation is crucial. Without good dead skin cell management, the color won't apply evenly due to emphasized flakiness.
