It's slightly less watery than toner, making it nice to apply with your hands. It absorbs well too. I have extremely dry skin, so I bought this after seeing ads claiming it was gentle. I felt a slight tingling sensation right after applying it, but that might be because my skin was dry after washing. I've only used it for two days, so I'll write a more detailed review after using it longer. As someone with very dry skin, I initially felt a mild tingling sensation. I think if it deeply hydrates my skin, the tingling might go away. When I generously applied it on a cotton pad and left it on my dry cheeks and forehead for a while, it felt as moisturizing as a sheet mask. Afterward, the dryness disappeared and the hydration lasted for a long time.

I absolutely love ingredients like rice and yuzu, so I was thrilled with this one. Ever since I switched to essence-type toners like this, I've completely given up on watery toners. The consistency is a bit runny, so it does take a little longer to absorb into the skin.
