This product was excellent for dealing with sudden redness. It definitely helped cool down my skin and was very effective. I could see the redness gradually subsiding and my troubled skin recovering. It's absolutely perfect for someone like me with combination and super sensitive skin. When first applying, those with redness might experience a slight tingling sensation and temporary flushing. However, if you trust the process and keep using it, this product won't let you down. The key is to apply it consistently and allow it to absorb slowly into your skin. - wl*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJul 6, 2025
The texture is like a slippery, hydrating essence - somewhere between soju and runny nose. The cica ingredients work well for me, so this product was also a great match. I used it on my flushed skin after working out, as it claims to improve redness on sensitive skin. While it doesn't actively cool the skin, it's excellent for soothing. It's a versatile product that works well for various purposes. I really appreciate that the glass bottle is lightweight. It's a decent product without any particular drawbacks. It doesn't instantly hydrate with just one application, but it's great for layering. I wish they would create a thicker formulation for winter use. - 1w****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJul 2, 2025
I tried this product after seeing it recommended by Utru unnie, and it's amazing! As someone who struggles with extreme redness, I've noticed my skin tone has almost completely evened out! Only a slight flush remains around my nose and between my eyebrows, while my cheeks and chin have returned to my natural complexion. I'm nearly finished with my first bottle and will definitely repurchase. The results are truly outstanding! It's not sticky at all, and the texture feels so fresh and pleasant on the skin. My skin even feels more supple and bouncy! The dropper bottle makes it a bit challenging to use up the product at the bottom. - te***********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedJun 24, 2025
I tried this soothing serum when I had some blemishes since it claims to help with post-acne marks. After about 3 days of use, I noticed it calmed my skin quite well and seemed to reduce inflammation. The redness and marks appeared to fade somewhat. While it didn't completely eliminate the marks, I think this product will show better results with consistent use. The texture is really hydrating and absorbs well into the skin, making it pleasant to apply. I also liked that it didn't cause any pilling when I put on makeup in the morning! I was a bit disappointed that it didn't have a dramatic, fast-acting soothing effect. If your skin is really acting up, you might need to use this alongside another calming serum. - ch*******Oily SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesEnlarged PoresRecommendedJun 24, 2025
This serum has become my go-to lately! It's quite effective for calming the skin and fading blemish marks. I usually get blemishes on my chin and above my upper lip, but this has really helped soothe those areas! It even quickly reduces the redness left behind after popping a pimple. For those with oily skin, it's not exactly lightweight. It feels like a standard ampoule, but using it in summer, I find it a bit on the richer side. As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I've found this serum to be a great addition to my skincare routine. It absorbs well without feeling sticky, which is a plus. While it might be a bit heavy for summer use on oily skin, it could be perfect for those needing extra hydration or dealing with sensitivity issues. Remember to patch test if you have super sensitive skin! - he****Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedJun 22, 2025
A gentle serum that's my go-to when my skin feels sensitive or heated. I can't compare it to the pre-renewal version since I haven't tried it, but this product has been famous for a while, so I had high expectations when purchasing. I always make sure to apply this the day after using skincare devices when my skin feels sensitive. The texture is quite thin for a serum, with an opaque color. There's a noticeable ingredient scent that might be hit-or-miss for some. The consistency is watery, so the full-size dropper bottle should make it easy to control the amount. I tried the tube sample first, which made me realize why they chose a dropper for the full size. It's harder to control the amount from the tube, often resulting in applying more than intended. Despite this, it absorbs well into the skin. It's hydrating, and after application, my skin feels denser and more supple, leaving me satisfied. As someone with dry skin who prefers a moisturizing finish to skincare, I recommend testing the texture before buying, as it might not be for everyone. When my skin is particularly sensitive, I apply it right after cleansing. I often layer it multiple times and finish with a regenerating cream, simplifying my routine to allow the cica serum's ingredients to absorb thoroughly. The scent of the ingredients might not appeal to everyone. Although it's a serum, it's quite runny, so you use more product and it seems to run out quickly. A larger size option would be great! When my skin is very sensitive, I apply this first after cleansing, simplify my skincare steps, and layer it a few times for intensive care. - 8g********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedJun 22, 2025
I occasionally use this for soothing when my skin is acting up! It's non-irritating, and I can feel the calming effect the next day! The price is steep, so I only use it when my skin is in distress. To be honest, there's no reason to use it otherwise. This review suggests the product is effective for calming irritated skin, but its high price point limits regular use. The reviewer finds it particularly useful during skin flare-ups, appreciating its gentle, non-irritating formula and noticeable soothing effects. However, they imply that the product's benefits don't justify frequent use given its cost, reserving it only for times of skin distress. - fo********Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 19, 2025
I have blemish-prone, combination dehydrated skin :) Ah, the ripe old age of 20... I first tried this serum as a sample and it worked wonders, so 5 years later I decided to buy it again. 💚 Ingredients Contains hyaluronic acid, cica, and niacinamide (for anti-aging and brightening). 💚 Texture The consistency is a bit runny, so it glides easily on the skin. This means it absorbs pretty quickly too! 💚 Effects It's great for calming the skin :) It's really good for blemish-prone skin too. My boyfriend used to have extremely troubled skin, but he found this serum didn't clog his pores and really helped soothe his blemishes. He went through bottles of this stuff! I don't have severe blemishes, but I use it for its skin-soothing benefits. (However, I'm not sure if the 4.5 Scar Calming Serum is different from the old version... I feel like the previous one might have been slightly more effective...) - ne*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 18, 2025
I'm not sure about its effectiveness in reducing redness yet, but I love how soothing it feels on my skin when I apply it. The long dropper seems like it'll be convenient to use later on. I'm still unsure if it provides significant results that justify its price... - ki*********Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresJun 13, 2025
I was so satisfied with the previous version that when I went to repurchase, I noticed it had been renewed. Using this alone leaves blemishes on my face... I don't usually have acne-prone skin, but it caused small bumps and pustular acne, so I've stopped using it now.
