The texture is jelly-like and firm, yet it absorbs naturally into the skin without any stickiness, making it perfect for daily use. After applying, my skin feels hydrated and plump, and after a few days, I noticed my complexion seemed a bit brighter. I was particularly concerned about my pores and fine lines, but as my skin texture improved, my overall appearance looked cleaner, which was very satisfying. It gives a natural brightening effect that works well before makeup, and it's gentle enough to use even on sensitive days without any worries.
ConsWhile I'm generally satisfied, there are a few minor drawbacks. First, although the texture is light and moisturizing, those with dry skin might find it a bit lacking in hydration. When I use it alone at night, I sometimes feel a slight tightness in the morning, so it's best to pair it with a cream. Also, while there's barely any scent, there's a very faint raw ingredient smell that might be hit or miss for those with sensitive noses. Still, overall it doesn't irritate the skin and naturally evens out the complexion, so these small issues are manageable!
TipI use the Arencia Red Smoothie Serum as a 'skin texture-refining primer' before makeup. Especially around the nose and chin where pores are more noticeable, I apply an extra thin layer. This helps my base makeup adhere better and reduces patchiness. At night, I apply the serum in two steps. After the first application is slightly absorbed, I gently press it into my skin with my palms for a second layer. This method leaves my skin more supple and hydrated the next morning. On days when my skin feels sensitive, I use it as a spot treatment by soaking a cotton pad and placing it on my pore areas like a mini face mask. It's non-irritating and really refines the skin texture!
