I have combination skin with redness. My makeup used to break down, I had dead skin cells galore, and I was looking for a foam cleanser due to my pore and sebum issues. But this product is a total holy grail!! It's amazing for exfoliating and deep-cleaning pores!? The texture is quite thick, but it absorbs well. I think it's the salt and charcoal inside that make it so effective at removing dead skin cells. When you roll it on, it just sweeps away all the gunk. Actually, once you're over 25, you need to exfoliate your skin to promote cell turnover, and this is perfect to use as a scrub about twice a week. On other days, I just work up a lather with my hands, and it removes makeup well and leaves my skin smooth. Especially when used as a scrub, it noticeably improves both dead skin cells and pores in one go, and removes makeup effectively. I love that it works as both a scrub and a foam cleanser! The particles might feel a bit hard, so some might find it slightly irritating. It's kind of between a body scrub and a typical face scrub? To be honest, that's why I liked it more - it really exfoliates well. Using it as a scrub twice a week, my makeup doesn't flake off nearly as much. It dissolves well in water, so on days when you want a strong scrub, you can roll it directly onto your skin. If you prefer a foam cleanser with a gentler scrub, first roll it in your hands to create a lather before washing - this way there's no irritation at all! Using this method, you can use it daily. While it's not the type that creates a rich lather, when you wash with the foam you've worked up in your hands, it leaves your skin smooth and hydrated after cleansing!
