The pads absorb most of the essence, so there might be a slight lack of essence? But honestly, I can't think of any real drawbacks!

The gel pads were new to me, but I absolutely love them! I'm really impressed with how well they adhere to the skin. What's unique is that after you apply them like a face mask and then remove them, your skin feels incredibly firm and supple! It also gives a sensation of deep hydration. As for blemish brightening, you need to use it consistently to see results. I'm quite satisfied because my blemishes have noticeably faded since I started using it.

I bought the Mediheal PDRN pad and also purchased the Hwahae gel pad since a lot of Hwahae bio-dense was coming out, so I was curious. 
The one closest to the gel pad is the Hwahae bio-dense. It's about twice as thick as the Mediheal.

The Mediheal has a gel-like feel, but it doesn't feel completely like a gel. It has more of a gel feel than a regular pad. 

When applied, the thin Mediheal adheres well and evenly. The Hwahae, on the other hand, tends to peel off in the contoured areas, possibly due to its thickness. So while it has a gel-like feel when peeled off, it keeps falling off more than the Mediheal.
After about an hour, the Hwahae still has more moisture, but it keeps falling off, so it's only effective when lying down.
The Mediheal stays on well, but it feels like the moisture is slightly diminished.

For pad usage, I think the Mediheal is better. I probably won't be wearing it for more than an hour anyway, and the Mediheal adheres better for moving around.

The effects don't seem to be as advertised. It's just a decent product to use, though individual experiences may vary.

Most of all, the amount of essence is much more than other toner pads, and that seems to be the best part.

Those with dry skin can use it without hesitation, while intellectuals should try it once or not use it as their main toner pad, but only apply it when drying at night. It has a rather heavy texture.

These are by far the most satisfying toning pads I've ever used.

I'm not sure about its brightening effects. If you apply too much serum before makeup, it can cause some pilling. But if you use just the right amount, it's really fantastic.

After not using it for a while, I noticed a significant improvement when I applied and removed it. My skin became plump and firm. It also improved elasticity. It's great to use before bed or before applying makeup.

It's beneficial to apply it to your neck as well.

As someone with super sensitive combination dehydrated skin, I didn't see much brightening effect. While it didn't cause tingling or burning sensations, I kept getting blemishes. It's quite sticky, but doesn't feel like it's working hard on my skin either, so it's a bit of a mixed bag.
