It absorbs really well. The scent was pleasant enough that I could use it without any issues. I have combination to oily skin... I was tempted because it's called a primer, but it actually made my skin oilier. I couldn't even tell it was working as a primer. - xc*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedApr 17, 2025
💟 Skin Type: Combination / Sensitive 💟 Usage Period: Over 1 week 💟 Purpose: Daily primer and sunscreen ❣️ Review I recently had the chance to try the Toboco Airy Sun Primer. At first, I was skeptical about whether a product claiming to be both a primer and sunscreen would actually be effective, but I was pleasantly surprised by how well it worked! The texture is incredibly lightweight and silky, setting to a powder-like finish immediately upon application. It's almost oil-free, making it perfect to use before makeup. I noticed that it seemed to blur my pores slightly, improving foundation adherence and reducing makeup breakdown throughout the day. While there's a slight white cast typical of mineral sunscreens, it quickly blends into the skin, resulting in a natural brightening effect that adds a healthy glow. As someone with super sensitive skin, I was worried about blemishes, but fortunately, I experienced no irritation at all. ❣️ Pros - Lightweight texture - Pore-blurring effect - Natural skin tone evening - Improves makeup longevity - No blemishes ❣️ Overall - Highly recommend for those looking for a primer + sunscreen combo. If you have combination skin and struggle with makeup longevity like me, I think you'll be satisfied with this product! ❣️ Cons - Might be slightly drying for those with dry skin - There is a bit of a white cast, so men may want to keep this in mind - rh******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedApr 2, 2025
This was my first time using a primer, and I'm impressed: - It effectively fills in my large pores and uneven texture - The airy formula adheres well, leaving a soft matte finish that allows cushion foundation to glide on smoothly without caking - When used under cushion foundation, it significantly improves longevity and reduces makeup breakdown - A little goes a long way, so the product will last quite a while If your skincare routine is too light, it can feel a bit tight when applied. Make sure to hydrate your skin well before using - tj****Combination SkinSensitive SkinWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedApr 1, 2025
The standout feature of this product is its dual function as a <sunscreen + primer>. Previously, I had to go through the hassle of applying skincare, then primer, followed by sunscreen, and finally makeup. This often resulted in pilling and poor makeup adherence. However, this product combines two functions, simplifying my makeup routine significantly! The texture is best described as soft sand or slush - it's somewhat powdery, you know? It's not dry, but it's not dewy either, so in my opinion, it would work best for a semi-matte makeup look. Ingredient-wise, apart from the UV filters and fragrance, there's nothing concerning. It didn't irritate my sensitive skin, and most importantly, it didn't cause any blemishes, so I'm using it with satisfaction. Of course, the most crucial aspect of a primer is how well it covers pores and uneven texture. I'd say it's about 40% effective. It's definitely better than not using anything, but it doesn't provide perfect coverage. While it does provide sun protection, applying it liberally all over your face like a regular sunscreen might feel heavy and potentially not be great for your skin. I recommend focusing application around the pore areas. Recommended for: - Those looking to simplify their makeup routine with a sunscreen primer - Fans of semi-matte makeup looks - People with less prominent pores - ki*******Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedApr 1, 2025
To be honest, I wasn't really sure how to use primers before, so I tended to avoid them. If I accidentally used too much, my makeup would look cakey. But with Tocovo, it's different. I previously bought their sunstick and loved how gentle it was with a great scent, so I used it happily. They really seem to excel at making these functional products. The applicator makes it super easy to control the amount, and the generous volume is a plus. By applying a thin layer to the necessary areas, it fills in the pores seamlessly. The difference between using and not using this primer is quite noticeable. When I see how smoothly my foundation goes on, leaving my skin with a beautiful glow, it's so satisfying! I can't guarantee this is the absolute best compared to other primers out there. While I like how it absorbs and everything else about it, I'm not sure if it's my application technique, but the results aren't dramatically mind-blowing. - sa*********Normal SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesInner DrynessDead Skin CellsMar 29, 2025
It finishes with a silky texture, functioning well as a primer. Apply a small amount to needed areas before foundation, and it effectively smooths out dead skin cells and fills in pores for a flawless finish. Ideal for those who find it tedious to apply sunscreen, primer, and makeup separately. After a while without touch-ups, oil tends to build up significantly. While it doesn't break down messily, it darkens quickly and looks greasy overall, making powder touch-ups or makeup reapplication necessary throughout the day. - lj*******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedMar 24, 2025
This pore primer feels like it has sun protection built in! It reminds me of the famous Bene*it pore primer I used to love. The texture and feel are very similar. It has that same sorbet-like consistency, but since this Tocovo one includes sun protection, I use quite a bit more. I apply it all over my T-zone and butterfly zone. For my eye area and U-zone, I use a different sunscreen. There's definitely a silky finish to my skin after applying my usual foundation - somewhere between silky and matte. The staying power is impressive too. I have combination dehydrated skin, so I usually need oil blotting sheets when I wear makeup. But with this product, I haven't needed to use them even after 10+ hours. It's amazing! I used to dislike using powder, but thanks to this product, I might not need it anymore. The only downside is that since it's a primer, you might feel like you need to do a thorough deep cleanse afterwards.
