First off, it's so lightweight, making it perfect for everyday use. Even when I only apply this in the morning before makeup, my base goes on smoothly and doesn't get too oily. It's a great watery toner for casual use! (Plus, it has a slight viscosity.) While the texture is almost water-like, it's not quite as fluid as pure water when applied. You can feel a slight viscosity. However, once it's absorbed, the level of hydration isn't much different from applying a drugstore watery toner twice. That was a bit disappointing. They claim that by stabilizing gel cream ingredients in a toner form, you can experience the moisturizing effects of a gel cream. But gel creams aren't particularly hydrating to begin with... For a toner with this level of hydration, you could probably find something much cheaper at any beauty store. The concept of this product seems a bit unclear in various ways. I think the Cream Skin line might be better off sticking to their original strategy of targeting dry skin types. The review mentions that the product is lightweight and works well as a base for makeup without causing excessive oiliness. However, the reviewer expresses disappointment with the hydration level, comparing it unfavorably to more affordable drugstore options. They also question the effectiveness of the gel cream technology used in the product and suggest that the brand might be better off focusing on their original target market of dry skin types. - ki*********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessRecommendedMay 16, 2025
Trouble-free and just a water toner, so the absorption time is very fast... I tried the sample and personally, it seems decent. Since my skin condition is not 100%, I may not have seen the effects, but for now, it's good, though unremarkable. To put it bluntly, the price-to-quality ratio seems excessively high. The Laneige brand section has products with a relatively higher price range from the start, and the gel cream and skin care items are simply too expensive. Those who are curious and want to try them out will likely give up due to the prices - that was certainly the case for me. - do**********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedMay 1, 2025
I've been using the Laneige Cream Skin since its launch, through all four seasons. While I've tried other products in between, I always find myself coming back to Cream Skin! However, even great products can have slight drawbacks, and for this one, it was that it fell a bit short in terms of 'firmness'. Recently, I've been looking into functional ampoules and serums for pore tightening and wrinkle care, but many reviews suggest dramatic changes are hard to come by. This product, however, feels like it tightens pores and sagging skin right from the toner stage, while simultaneously providing deep hydration and firmness. Best of all, it absorbs quickly, making it perfect to use before makeup without any issues! There weren't really any downsides, but unlike the original Cream Skin, this one isn't suitable for use as a mist. Also, the texture isn't ideal for soaking into a pad for application. That's about it. Rather than using a large amount at once, I recommend applying the product multiple times in small quantities while giving your skin a firming massage! - ja*******Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsRednessRecommendedApr 22, 2025
I've been wanting to try the original Laneige Cream Skin, but I heard it wasn't great for oily skin, so I passed. But when this little gem came out, I was jumping for joy! The texture is light and refreshing, without the heaviness of a toner. It seems to provide deep hydration without producing excess oil. I think it's perfect for spring and summer use. I even noticed it helped with redness and calming my skin! I haven't been using it for long, so I'm not entirely sure, but I felt a slight itching sensation right after application. I'm not sure if it's just my imagination though. It works well when layered with other products. - db*****Dry SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedApr 22, 2025
I was so excited to try this super hot new product! While the Cream Skin has become much lighter since its initial release, I still thought it might be a bit heavy for summer use. However, this Gel Cream Skin is definitely lightweight while still locking in that hydration! It's not just your typical 'good moisture' feeling - it's like you can feel the water molecules being absorbed and held tightly by your skin. It gives your skin this plump, bouncy feeling! It's as if it's gripping and supporting your epidermis. Maybe it's because of the peptides? The experience is definitely different from regular toners, and I was honestly amazed by Laneige's technology... This is not your average toner. Usually, the toner step just feels like you're physically adding moisture, right? But the fact that this product, at the toner stage, gives you the sensation of a gel cream really gripping and adhering moisture to your skin... it's incredible. You can really tell this is literally the popular Laneige Gel Cream turned into a toner! And being a toner, it absorbs even better... Oh, and usually products with zinc tend to dry out your skin immediately, giving that powdery feel, which can be really uncomfortable if you have deep dryness. But with this product, I was surprised - it's hard to believe it even contains zinc! It doesn't have that typical drying effect at all. It controls oil sufficiently while only filling in moisture, so I think it would be perfect for combination dehydrated skin! The downside is... I think it would be better if it came in a mist bottle so you could spray it on your face rather than applying it with your hands. Since it's a toner with small particles, when you pour it into your hands, it feels like your hands end up more moisturized than your face... For those who find it bothersome to apply multiple products, just like with the Cream Skin, you can layer the Gel Cream Skin several times and finish off with the Laneige Sleeping Mask before bed for a perfect, simple routine! It's not sticky, doesn't over-moisturize, and simplifies your skincare routine significantly! - je******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessDead Skin CellsApr 18, 2025
I had been using Laneige Cream Skin to combat deep dryness, but it felt a bit rich. So when I heard about this new, lighter gel-cream version, I decided to give it a try. To be honest, I was a bit disappointed. However, it is indeed lightweight and absorbs well. It's great for providing light hydration. Although it didn't quite suit my skin, I found it works well as a toner substitute when applying makeup. First off, for some unknown reason, it caused a tingling sensation on my face. On top of that, I even got some minor blemishes. This never happened with the Cream Skin, so it's not due to heaviness. If you have super sensitive skin like mine, you might want to reconsider using this. This is just my personal opinion, though. I usually love Laneige products! I'd recommend this for those with combination dehydrated skin or oily skin who find regular toners too heavy but feel that water-based toners are too light. However, if you have sensitive, blemish-prone skin like mine, make sure to patch test before purchasing! Also, if these types of products work well for you, consider getting a Daiso mist spray bottle to fill with this product. It's great for spritzing throughout the day for added hydration! - hy*******Oily SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedApr 18, 2025
The container is lightweight, and the Laneige engraving on the lid gives it a luxurious look. The wide opening makes it easy to dispense without spilling. The gel-cream formula gives it a translucent color. They included a skin pack container, suggesting you pour the toner in for a mask - that would be great for dry skin. It feels more hydrating than refreshing, so it might suit dry skin better than oily. Since the toner contains cream elements, you could apply moisturizer right after or even layer the toner multiple times for added hydration. It's a hydrating toner, not a refreshing one! As someone with oily skin, I don't reach for it often. I prefer products that leave a clean base without any stickiness, so this doesn't seem to work for me. This would likely work better for dry skin than oily. If you apply multiple layers, you can achieve a moisturized feel even without using a cream. - mo*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedApr 15, 2025Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

Laneige, the epitome of K-beauty since my youth, has unveiled a new product that exudes their expertise: the Cream Skin Zinc Pep Toner & Gel Moisturizer! I was truly amazed, satisfied, moved, and smitten after using it. In a world where dozens of new brands emerge daily across various platforms, each launching hundreds of new products, this one stands out. It embodies the spirit of a brand that has consistently walked its own path. You might think I'm being long-winded about just one skincare product, but try it yourself and you'll understand! As someone with combination dehydrated skin that struggles with flaky cheeks even in summer, making base makeup a real challenge, I've tried countless prep products and base makeup. But in terms of performance at the skincare stage, Laneige Gel Cream Skin is unparalleled. It absorbs incredibly fast, leaving a long-lasting hydration. You'll feel that deep, bouncy moisture that lasts all day, keeping your skin surface cool. It's great for hydration, and perhaps due to the zinc component, it keeps pores tight and skin plump even when oil typically rises and causes base makeup to separate. By 'plump', I mean it brings out the best possible condition in your skin. It maintains that fresh, dewy state as if you've just removed a toner pad. This all-day hydration and bounciness prevents heat buildup, which in turn prevents dryness, leading to better base makeup longevity. As time passes, the base makeup seems to meld beautifully with the skin. While we beauty junkies live in a world of dazzling new brands and products, this experience strongly reminded me not to forget the comfort of familiarity. Thank you, Laneige, for consistently developing powerful products through your own research! As a cosmetics enthusiast, I find it reassuring that Laneige, a fundamental Korean cosmetics brand, continues to lead the way with outstanding products while staying true to its roots amidst changing times. Despite having combination dehydrated skin with thin skin prone to flaking on the cheeks and occasional redness due to sensitivity, this product actually soothed my sensitive cheek area with its cool hydration. It kept my skin refreshed and improved my skin texture. It felt like my skin barrier had become healthier - is this how people with plump skin feel? Apply thoroughly at the skincare stage, allowing for full absorption. Using a cooling massager to roll it in aids in even absorption and better retention. Mixing a small amount evenly with a slightly thick BB cream or foundation before application helps the base makeup adhere well and last longer. - jy*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedApr 15, 2025Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

It goes on light while striking the perfect balance between a rich feel and refreshing hydration. I love how it maintains moisture right from the skincare stage. I'm not entirely sure. However, it might not be suitable for winter use. - 3a****Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedApr 14, 2025Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

I often use soothing masks, and this one, being a water-based essence, was convenient to apply. It felt like my skin was drinking water, absorbing the hydration immediately, which I really liked. The scent is nearly fragrance-free, so there probably won't be strong opinions about it either way. I think it would be better if the bottle opening was a bit more pointed, as it would allow for pouring directly onto the mask. Using it daily as a hydrating and soothing mask shows quick calming effects, which is great!
