I'm honestly at a loss for words because this product is just that amazing! I've recommended it to everyone I know. Whether it's dark circles, redness, or uneven complexion, other cushions just can't cover it all in one go. But this cushion? It covers everything beautifully on its own, unlike others. I've tried all the supposedly high-coverage options like A*pieu and B*lithe, but nothing comes close to this. It even fills in pores, giving you legendary skin! Unfortunately, it does transfer a bit and there's some residue left behind. That's a bit disappointing. The product being discussed appears to be a cushion foundation with exceptional coverage and skin-perfecting properties. It seems to excel at addressing various skin concerns in a single application, outperforming other popular high-coverage options on the market. However, it may have minor issues with transfer and residue. - jr*******Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 31, 2025
A flawless complexion without darkening - I think it gives a prettier skin tone than other cushions or foundations! It becomes matte after application, but there's a subtle glow that makes your skin look healthy. I love how well it covers pores too~ It was inconvenient that the product didn't come out evenly when pressing the cushion. When touching up, it felt like it was slightly caking? I found it cleaner to remove and reapply rather than touch up. It seems to set quickly, so you need to blend it out as fast as possible. If you want a completely matte, blurred finish, use it with a powder. Pores? They just disappear! - ba********Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 21, 2025
This might be the best cushion foundation I've ever tried... Even with minimal skincare prep, it adheres beautifully to the skin and performs exceptionally well. The only thing is that it seemed a bit light for me, so I repurchased one shade darker. There's nothing particularly negative to say... The compact is a bit large, but other than that, I honestly can't think of any drawbacks. - bc****Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessRecommendedMay 9, 2025
I was curious about the About Tone cushion due to all the praise it received, so I decided to try it out. The puff is soft, and the cushion has a semi-matte texture that applies thinly and lightly. It adheres well to the skin, providing excellent coverage. As time passed, it didn't break down much, so it didn't look messy. The cushion compact was bulkier than I expected. It might suit oily skin well, but could be a bit drying for those with dry skin. It worked really well for me though! - an*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedMay 2, 2025
A cushion foundation that finally captures all the benefits of a traditional foundation has arrived! It offers thin yet dense coverage with high concealing power, and the semi-matte formula is perfect. As someone with a warm undertone in shade 21, the 21 Warm Light color matched me naturally. I was particularly satisfied with how smoothly it applied, even around the nose and between the eyebrows, without any patchiness. While I know it's a semi-matte formula, it does feel quite matte. It might be a bit drying for those with combination dehydrated skin. - yo******Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedMay 2, 2025
For shade 21/oily/sensitive/acne-prone/large pores skin, here's my take: 1. While I had high expectations for coverage, it effectively conceals small blemishes and pores. Larger blemishes and dark scars are slightly blurred, requiring concealer for perfect coverage. 2. I expected a matte finish like About Tone foundation, given my oily skin. However, for extremely oily skin, it's more semi-matte. Those with normal oily skin might find it matte, but for me, it's semi-matte. This could be due to my thorough skincare routine! 3. The adherence is impressive. With a solid skincare base, there's minimal finger imprinting. It truly sticks to the skin! With powder, you can achieve a matte finish. - Recommended as a summer cushion for very oily, oily, and combination dehydrated skin with a solid skincare routine. - While no cushion can hide all major blemishes, this one covers small imperfections and pores well. For larger blemishes and scars, I suggest using a concealer. 1. Though I prefer a warmer shade 21, this cushion is a brighter 21 (closer to 19-17). Shade 22 might look more natural while still giving a made-up look. The 21 Warm Light has an ivory tone that brightens the complexion significantly! 2. Unfortunately, I experienced more breakouts than usual. While I typically get some blemishes with other cushions, this one caused larger ones, which is disappointing. It seems there might be an ingredient that doesn't agree with my skin. This is a personal drawback! A word of caution for those with very oily or oily skin: be careful not to overdo your skincare routine, as it may cause pilling and excessive oil production when using this cushion! - ds****Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedApr 25, 2025
The adherence is great and the staying power isn't bad at all! I bought it because it has the same formula as foundation. In the morning at home, I apply it with a brush and press it in with a damp sponge. I only use the built-in puff for touch-ups when I'm out and about! Other blog reviews mentioned that the shades run lighter compared to other brands, suggesting to go one shade darker. But I love a bright makeup look, so I stuck with my usual shade! I think I would have regretted going a shade darker. (My skin tone measurement is 19-21) It's quite drying... I knew it was semi-matte when I bought it, but the smile lines are unavoidable. I have a lot of milia around my chin, so the breakdown in that area looks a bit messy... If you have dry skin like me, I recommend using the built-in puff for touch-ups only. At home, try using other tools to apply it as hydratingly as possible!!! - o0*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedApr 24, 2025
I've been using Missha's BB cream religiously, but I heard About Tone's cushion applies thinly and has good ingredients, so I decided to give it a try after some deliberation. With proper amount control, it applies smoothly. I used to use Missha BB cream in shade 17, and was torn between 21 Cool Light and 21 Warm Light. Although I have a cool undertone, I tend to have facial redness, so I opted for 21 Warm Light. The color is a beautiful, radiant ivory that applies moisturizing but finishes matte, which I love. The staying power is great, it doesn't cause any blemishes, and I'm completely satisfied with this cushion! It's a shame I couldn't test it in-store since it's not available offline, but after trying it, I'm more than satisfied. My routine is to shower in the morning, then while drying my hair, I put on a sheet mask that I've kept in the fridge. When I apply makeup after that, it goes on beautifully.
