But as time passed and I got used to it, I became completely satisfied. Here's how to apply it: pump it two or three times on the back of your hand, spread it thinly, then gently pat it onto your face with your fingertips. The result? It looks like you're not wearing makeup at all - just naturally good skin. It has decent coverage, barely fades over time, and controls oil so well that I didn't need any touch-ups. I'd highly recommend this to fellow oily skin types.
ConsWhen I first applied it, it didn't absorb well and emphasized my dead skin cells, which was a bit disappointing.

That's about it... Really not much else to say...
ConsI bought this after hearing good reviews as a budget-friendly alternative to Double Wear, but I'm so disappointed... It oxidizes terribly and has pilling issues. Double Wear doesn't separate on me, but strangely this Revlon one does... Do yourself a favor and test it before buying.

Even on my oily skin, it maintains a flawless complexion for half a day or longer without breaking down. 2. Minimizes texture issues. I have small blemishes that create uneven skin, but when I use Revlon Colorstay as a base, the texture appears less noticeable.
Cons1. Emphasizes dead skin cells if exfoliation isn't done properly. Not recommended for those with dry skin. 2. The coverage is quite sheer... It mostly just evens out the skin tone. A concealer is a must if you have any blemishes.
TipAfter testing with fingers, sponge, puff, and brush, I found that applying with a brush works best. Using fingers or a sponge doesn't spread evenly and doesn't cover pores well. When you apply with a brush, it covers pores effectively in problem areas and applies smoothly overall.

The coverage and complexion correction are perfect. There's no darkening, so the makeup lasts a long time.
ConsIt's extremely drying and really emphasizes dead skin cells. There are many ingredients that aren't great for the skin. My skin feels like it's cracking...
TipMixing it with a hydrating moisturizer helps a bit, but I won't be repurchasing.

No darkening either, which was great! Aside from the dryness, it was fantastic.
ConsIt's quite drying, but interestingly, it doesn't seem to emphasize dead skin cells despite the dryness. It just feels dry. This might work well for those with oily skin.
TipApplying it with a puff gives excellent results.

After 12 hours of wear, this foundation only shows minimal signs of fading - just a slight hint of my natural redness peeking through. Given how prone I am to redness, this is truly impressive. Those stubborn blemishes I covered up are only slightly more noticeable. While some oil does surface after a while, it doesn't break down in an unsightly way, which is great. No darkening observed. It sets to a matte finish that doesn't transfer.
ConsBeing matte, it can sometimes accentuate unflattering skin texture. I avoid using it when my skin is particularly textured. The 'buff' shade has a slightly ashy undertone. While I chose it to counteract redness, I wish it had more of a warm, golden tone - I personally prefer a sun-kissed look. The coverage could be better. As for the ingredients... while it's not particularly acne-triggering, I worry about long-term effects on my skin with continued use.
TipFor best results, apply a rich moisturizer as a base, then pair this foundation with a thick liquid concealer or a high-coverage, creamy base product. The combination is absolutely phenomenal!

It didn't crease much and the coverage was pretty good.
ConsIt was more matte than I expected and a bit pricey. It also tended to emphasize dead skin cells.

It applies matte but doesn't finish too flat, maintaining a nice level of hydration. The staying power is also impressive.
ConsFor a foundation, it has quite a bit of shimmer, and I noticed some darkening on my skin. Also, in winter, it might emphasize dead skin cells more noticeably.

And the price is pretty wallet-friendly too!
ConsThe color is a bit off-putting. It's way too matte for my liking. It really emphasizes uneven texture and pores. The coverage is nothing to write home about either.

There's minimal breakdown over time, and it controls oil better than other foundations, which I absolutely love.
ConsDespite having very oily skin, switching to Revlon made my skin feel super dry. It's as if it absorbs all the natural oils from my face. The lack of moisture led to blemishes, and if I'm not diligent with my skincare routine, it even emphasizes dead skin cells. I'm planning to switch to a different product once I finish this one.
TipI found a workaround: either apply it over a rich moisturizing base, or mix the Revlon foundation with a hydrating CC cream on a Skinfood wedge puff spritzed with face mist. This method works well, though it does slightly reduce the coverage.
