Even though my skin used to get super oily with Clio cushion foundation, this one didn't make my combination-dry skin overly greasy. It feels like it doesn't provide enough coverage... So I kept applying more layers, which eventually made my makeup look cakey. Also, when I touched it with my fingers before applying, the area strangely stung. It felt like when you use a toner that doesn't agree with your skin... The scent is overwhelmingly strong (smells like harsh chemicals). - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSep 8, 2017
As someone with extremely oily skin, large pores, redness, and super sensitive skin, I've finally found my holy grail foundation! After using it for a week, I haven't had any blemishes pop up. Let's break it down: Color: My skin is a perfect 21 shade, but without yellow undertones and rather reddish due to rosacea. I bought 110 Ivory, and with powder on top, it's a bit light. Can't leave the house without base on my neck now! I debated between Buff and Ivory, thinking lighter is better, but... mistake. If you're a true 21, just go for Buff. Still, I'm satisfied with the pretty color. Pass. Coverage: It's so runny it flows on the back of your hand, making you think the coverage might be terrible, but it's actually above average. The coverage-to-application ratio is the best I've tried. Just concealing blemish marks and redness with concealer is enough for full coverage. Application: I apply with a sponge, and its runny texture means zero worries about application. It doesn't clump and fills in pores nicely. Looking at it, you'd think it's a hydration bomb and worry about shine, but after a few minutes it sets to a slightly powdery finish, so you don't need much powder. Longevity: I'm extremely oily, so usually after base-concealer-foundation-powder, in summer I'm a shiny mess after 2 hours, unable to tell sweat from oil. But with this, even after 6-7 hours, my nose is just slightly dewy, not breaking down. It starts to break down a bit after 8-9 hours, but overall stays hydrated and breaks down prettily, making touch-ups easy. I switched from Skin Balance BB cream to Revlon because it was too expensive, and I'm very satisfied overall. Especially the value for money is incredible, and I like that it doesn't contain ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate or other organic UV filters. Don't buy during Olive Young sales, it's much cheaper to order online. Disappointed I didn't make a wise choice with the color. If you're shade 21, just buy Buff instead of Ivory. No other cons. The foundation is very runny, but when I tested it at Olive Young, it felt thick? So I wonder if I need to shake it before use. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAug 3, 2017
It works perfectly when mixed with Estée Lauder. While Estée Lauder can be quite drying, Revlon adds a bit of moisture. I use shade 200 Nude, and it gives my skin a lighter appearance. No blemishes so far! Revlon's coverage is a bit disappointing compared to what I expected. I recommend using it in a 1:1 ratio with Estée Lauder for the best results. - ji*******Oily SkinAcne SkinJul 29, 2017
As someone with oily skin, I absolutely loved how matte this product is. What's more, it has such a lightweight formula that doesn't transfer at all after application, which is perfect for skin like mine. While I appreciated its matte finish, lightweight feel, and non-transferring quality, I noticed that after just an hour, it started to settle into the pores around my cheeks. It looked so unflattering that I immediately switched back to my cushion foundation. - ch*********Combination SkinInner DrynessRednessJul 27, 2017
I used shade 110 Ivory (labeled as Cool Tone 21!). While it looked fine under the store lighting, I was shocked at how white it appeared when I first applied it with my beauty blender at home. However, it quickly adjusted to match my complexion after application. I bought this product after searching for a replacement for my Aritaum Full Cover BB cream, which couldn't withstand the summer heat. This foundation perfectly meets my original intentions! I'm so grateful for its powder-like finish and excellent adherence. Unlike the Full Cover BB, which lacked in adherence, this one applies lightly and smoothly while staying put, so my face doesn't feel heavy all day long! Woohoo! Even in places without air conditioning where I'm sweating, it holds up quite well - only my nose gets slightly oily. It seemed to last about nine hours for me. However, after that, I noticed some foundation settling into my pores in the U-zone, which looked quite unsightly. Oddly enough, my T-zone was fine, perhaps because I had touched it up once during the day. Despite its appearance suggesting high coverage, it actually doesn't cover much. It doesn't conceal well - it just feels like a light, powder-like skin makeup. I didn't mind since I wasn't looking for high coverage, but if that's your priority, you'll need to use this with a concealer. Even layering doesn't improve the coverage. Also, when it breaks down, it settles into pores, which looks really awful - almost trypophobia-inducing. Of course, not many people would go 10 hours without touch-ups like I did, but it doesn't seem to break down gracefully. While it has good staying power, it's best to check and touch up once during wear. I was too carefree with it. Although I liked it as a summer foundation for its lightweight feel, good adherence, powder-like finish, and longevity, I'm concerned about the ingredients. It feels like prolonged use might not be good for the skin. I did get a blemish on my right cheek the day after using it, but I'm not sure if it was due to this product. Since the breakout was only on the right side and my left side remained clear, it's likely due to my menstrual cycle rather than the makeup. I didn't experience any additional blemishes with continued use. Still, if you have sensitive skin, be sure to patch test first as the ingredients aren't the best. Apart from the coverage, I like everything about it, but due to the ingredients, I'll probably look for something else next summer. It finishes quite matte, so I wouldn't recommend it for dry skin types! I bought it for combination skin as a summer foundation, but it might be too drying for fall and winter use. Use a damp beauty blender, squeeze out the excess water, and apply a small amount by patting it on. If you try to spread it by rubbing, it might not blend well. Make sure to pat it on gently. Also, because it's matte and quick-drying, don't dot it all over your face at once - it might dry before you can blend it. Apply it in small sections, blending as you go, for a thin, even application. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJul 3, 2017
It has a matte finish, so the staying power is great! I think it would be perfect for those with oily skin. It dries rather quickly, which made it challenging to apply evenly. I found myself struggling to spread it uniformly. Also, I'm not sure if it's because I have super sensitive skin, but I noticed some small bumps appearing. Unfortunately, I won't be repurchasing this product. - Hwahae UserOily SkinJun 24, 2017
It really lasts long. While it may not stay as beautiful as when first applied, it holds up well without major breakdown. It's truly matte, making it suitable for oily skin types in summer. It's extremely drying and matte. Difficult to use unless you have oily skin or it's summertime. Even with oily skin, it felt dry in spring, but I found myself using it more often in summer. Once applied to the face, it sets quickly and doesn't blend easily. I saw a tip on Hwahae reviews to use a damp beauty blender, and it works really well for me. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinMay 15, 2017
1. The staying power is excellent with no patchiness. It's very matte and applies thinly, making it perfect for acne-prone skin. I don't have acne, but I have combination skin and struggle with excess sebum. This foundation controls oil production while still breaking down naturally with your skin's oils. I've even worn it for over 24 hours when pulling all-nighters! 2. I've used it for over a year without any blemishes or small bumps. It's suitable for all seasons. The finish is incredibly natural with amazing adherence, so even men can wear it confidently. 1. While I didn't experience any blemishes, the long-lasting formula can be difficult to remove completely, which might be a drawback for some. If you prioritize longevity, I highly recommend it. However, for those who prefer lighter makeup, be aware that the cleansing process might become more complex and potentially feel less refreshing. Consider this aspect carefully! For a natural tone correction that looks like you're wearing no makeup at all, try mixing a small amount of foundation with a gel-type emulsion or cream. The result is incredibly natural-looking. - st*******Oily SkinAcne SkinApr 17, 2017
First off, the staying power was really impressive! I'd apply it at 7 AM, and by lunchtime, there'd be just a bit of oil around my nose and cheeks. After blotting that away and touching up, it would stay put until night! However, since I started using it, I've been breaking out with severe, inflamed blemishes - not just small ones, but big, red, pus-filled ones. I'm planning to stop using it for now. Has anyone else experienced something similar? - ss*********Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinMar 11, 2017
After always using cushion compacts, I finally bought a new foundation and I think it's pretty good! It feels a bit drying though~ If you have dry skin, make sure to get the version for dry skin types
