  Pros

  As someone with dry skin, I typically avoid heavy makeup in winter. The harsh winds outside and indoor heating wreak havoc on my skin. No matter how meticulously I apply my moisturizing skincare routine, by lunchtime my foundation starts to separate, and you can see the particles. Using a hydrating cushion or dewy foundation doesn't make much difference. However, I can't skip makeup altogether due to redness and dark circles. This mist has been a game-changer. I spray it after my skincare, then again after makeup, and whenever my skin feels parched. It helps with longevity and keeps my skin less dehydrated. Regular mists don't work for me - they either dry out my skin or, if they contain oils to combat dryness, they make my makeup look messy while still leaving my skin feeling dry. In that respect, this product's fixing effect seems pretty decent.

  Cons

  The ingredients list could be improved. Due to the spray type, there's a risk of the product running when applied over makeup, potentially causing streaks. You need to spray it from quite a distance to avoid this issue.

  Tip

  It's great that when I use this after skincare, after makeup, and whenever my skin feels dry, it prevents my makeup from separating and helps me avoid embarrassing situations.

  Pros

  The absence of an oil layer allows for a refreshing and effective setting. The fragrance is subtle and not overpowering, making it suitable for finishing makeup. I find the price reasonable. When you want a strong, long-lasting makeup look, layering it gradually doesn't cause the makeup to melt or break down. Instead, it blends appropriately and then sets well. However, you'll need to master the spraying technique and fanning skills.

  Cons

  There are two major drawbacks. The biggest issue is the spray power. I deliberately captured it in the photo - it tends to 'spit' a bit. This gets worse when you've used more than half the product, creating a pattern as it drips. It's deeply frustrating when clumps of setting spray occasionally land on eye makeup (this always makes me hesitate to repurchase). The second issue is dryness. It's fine from late spring to early fall, but during seasonal changes and dry periods, I switch to other setting sprays with an oil layer. The refreshing finish could be another way of saying it's drying. Not recommended for those with dry skin.

  Tip

  I find the spray power most disappointing, so when about 1/5 is left, I spray it on a puff or brush instead. I've gotten upset too many times spraying it directly on my face. I only use a new bottle for direct application. That's really the only workaround.

  Pros

  I'm incredibly satisfied with this product, even though I don't have anything to compare it to. The difference in lasting power between when I use it and when I don't is remarkable.

  Cons

  You need to be careful when spraying it... If too much comes out on one side, it runs like water.

  Pros

  I bought this because I heard Hyun-jung Ko uses it. The packaging is luxurious, and it feels like water, similar to Avène mist, without any stickiness or unpleasant texture.

  Cons

  I couldn't really tell if it was setting my makeup. It just feels like a regular mist, and not even a very hydrating one at that. The spray nozzle is also terrible. If you're using a base with poor adherence, this mist sprays so unevenly that it might make your makeup run like soup.

  I was worried about my extremely dry face, but this product seems to have improved it significantly. I used it after applying makeup, and it feels clean and moisturizing, which seems to help my makeup last longer.

  Pros

  First off, it's MAC. The packaging design is quintessentially MAC, which makes it pretty.

  Cons

  It doesn't excel as either a setting spray or a hydrating mist. The spray nozzle isn't great, causing the product to come out in clumps. When trying to set makeup, it sprays in blobs that nearly run down your face. Most importantly, its effectiveness as a setting spray is about 15 out of 100.

  Tip

  You might want to look into other setting sprays.

  Pros

  I've been using this from summer through fall, and I must say the staying power has improved tremendously! It might be because it's my first time using a fixer, but it also gives a nice glow, making my skin look even better.

  Cons

  Controlling the amount seems crucial. Since it's a liquid type, if you spray too much, it can cause your carefully applied foundation to run. It's okay to touch up after it dries completely, but I've decided to use it in moderation!

  When I sprayed it on a puff to apply foundation, it felt cool and seemed to help the makeup adhere well.

  Cons

  I didn't feel like the makeup lasted very long, though that could be because I didn't apply much. Also, if you spray it directly on your face, it makes the foundation melt off.

  It's probably better to spray it on a puff and then apply it that way.

  While the spray power could be better, it leaves a nice glow. Though it feels a bit tacky, it provides a moisturizing sensation for extremely dry skin.
