Great for combination skin, and it seems to set well! It's moisturizing, and since it's alcohol-free, it doesn't cause any blemishes! The scent is a bit underwhelming... But it's better than not using anything, so I can't really complain. This review highlights the product's effectiveness for combination skin types, its ability to set well, and its moisturizing properties. The alcohol-free formula is praised for not causing blemishes. While the scent isn't particularly appealing, the reviewer still finds the product worthwhile overall. - st********Dry SkinRecommendedFeb 1, 2025
It's great to use right after applying makeup as it helps set everything in place. The fragrance isn't overpowering, which is nice. The spray dispenses evenly and consistently. While I'm generally satisfied with the product, it's pricier compared to similar brands on the market. - wl******Dehydrated SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedJan 24, 2025
✔️Skin Type I have combination dehydrated skin that's prone to deep dryness, causing my makeup to separate easily. But since using this fixer, it's been incredibly effective at preventing makeup separation. I don't even need touch-ups! I only occasionally smooth out a bit of foundation around my nose. I don't touch the rest of my face at all! ✔️Longevity Initially, I'd finish my entire makeup routine with just one application of the fixer, and it would keep my makeup from separating and last so long without needing touch-ups. Once I leave the house, I don't need to retouch until I get back home. It's also hydrating, so it's great to use even when your skin feels dry. The spray isn't a fine mist, so controlling the amount can be tricky. However, you get used to it with frequent use. For maximum longevity, apply it in layers starting from your base makeup. Build it up step by step throughout your makeup routine. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedApr 30, 2024
Moisturizing..?? To be honest, I'm not really sure. I'm using it because I got it as a gratis item. The spray power is disappointing. Other than that, it's just so-so. Do I really need to use this? - bi*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedApr 6, 2024
It feels moisturizing while still setting well, so I found it quite nice! The spray nozzle is a bit too powerful, which is a bit of a drawback. Also, if you're not careful with application, it can cause pilling. To prevent streaking or pilling, you need to let it dry completely without touching your face until the fixer sets. I also like to spray it on a puff and gently pat it over my makeup to set it! - eu*********Combination SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedMar 7, 2024
It's perfect for winter, leaving my skin beautifully moisturized. It gives such a lovely glow! I wouldn't recommend this for summer or if you have oily skin. However, it pairs really well with matte foundations. - go********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresJan 26, 2024
I received this as a gift and used it, but I'm not sure if it really helped set my makeup well The spray is terrible. It's even worse than spraying water with a regular mister. I don't understand why a brand like MAC can't create a better spray mechanism. If you spray it incorrectly, it feels like water droplets will form on your skin and drip off. Often, it feels like it's ruining the makeup I worked so hard to apply As mentioned in the drawbacks, when the spray feels clumped or like you've just sprayed water, quickly use a hair dryer on the cool setting to dry it - cn****Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedOct 29, 2023
It has good staying power, but what's even better is that on days I use this, my makeup fades beautifully The price is quite steep. The spray isn't a fine mist, so it comes out more like water droplets - no*****Dry SkinInner DrynessRednessSep 19, 2023
I feel like the staying power improves the more you use it. You might not notice while using it, but you can tell when you don't. It's definitely better than not using anything at all. If your makeup tends to break down quickly, you'll probably want to keep using this fixer. The spray doesn't dispense as beautifully as you might expect, so you need to develop a bit of technique to apply it well. - yj*******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedApr 10, 2023
This is perfect for my dry skin. The ethanol content is very low, which is great for a fixing spray. I'm writing this to share some tips because I feel so bad that many people find it difficult to use! First, hold the bottle and stretch your arm out as far as possible! Press the nozzle all the way down while aiming at the center of your face. If you stop midway, fearing too much product will come out, it'll sputter like spitting. When you press it fully (though a generous amount does come out), it's just right. It dries in three minutes, and after five minutes, you'll have a glow like in the photo. Extend your arm fully! Don't be afraid to press the nozzle all the way down when spraying! Imagine you're moving away from the center of your face!
