Pros: It's perfect for those lazy skincare nights! Just slather it on before bed, even down to your neck, and wake up to well-managed skin. It's especially great in winter. The texture is rich but spreads easily, and it's gentle on the skin. Absolutely love it! Cons: If you only rinse with water in the morning, you might get blemishes. Make sure to use a gentle cleanser or a morning-specific face wash. It pills under makeup, so strictly use it as a night treatment only. Pro tip: For an at-home spa experience, apply a generous layer and cover your face with plastic wrap. Your skin will feel as soft and smooth as after a professional facial! - ze***Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 19, 2024
This is a reliable cream that's easy to use. I've been using it for quite a while, and I find it works even better when mixed with oil. Unfortunately, Paula's Choice products don't offer great value for money unless they're on sale. - ph*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedApr 30, 2024
When I apply this before bed, I wake up in the morning to find that much of my skin's dryness has disappeared If you go to sleep without washing it off, it might transfer onto your bedding - rk******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedDec 20, 2023
I've been using Paula's Choice products for over a decade, and I'm kicking myself for not trying this one sooner. It's that good! As someone with combination-dehydrated skin, I initially overlooked this product thinking it was for dry skin types. But I stumbled upon it by chance, and wow - the way it applies and absorbs is fantastic. It's absolutely perfect as a sleeping mask! I'd give it a perfect score in every aspect. It's truly outstanding! If you have combination-dehydrated skin, it's best to apply this everywhere except the particularly oily areas before going to bed. - na******Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedAug 3, 2022
I've been using this product for over 10 years. It's perfect for my very dry skin as a replacement for morning and evening moisturizers. It doesn't cause any blemishes, keeps my skin hydrated, and I absolutely love it. There's hardly anything to complain about as it's so good. However, for those with extremely dry skin, it might feel a bit insufficient during the harsh winter months if used alone. I'd recommend mixing it with a facial oil for even better results. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinFeb 28, 2022
My skin felt so soft when I woke up. The texture is also easy to apply. My skin became so irritated that blemishes appeared immediately. I bought this because my skin was acting up, but it only made things worse. It feels like an allergic reaction, with bumps forming and intense tingling. I have to keep frowning because it hurts so much. It's really painful. Not knowing the cause, I hoped my skin would improve, but after applying it for the third day, when I used another product from the same brand the next day, my skin felt like it was burning, with blood rushing to the surface. Blemishes appeared like an allergic reaction, and for 40 minutes after applying it to my sensitive skin, it was extremely painful. After using it for 3 days, I've abandoned all the new products I bought. I think I purchased toner, emulsion, serum, sunscreen, and masks, but this product hurt the most when applying. After 3 days of use and 3 days of using a product with no risk factors, my skin immediately calmed down and stabilized... My family was shocked and told me to go to a dermatologist. I've never had my skin react this badly before, it's really surprising... If you experience stinging, a sudden rise in temperature, and a burning sensation like I did, please don't use this product. - ad***************Dry SkinJan 4, 2021
For a Paula's Choice product, the price-to-volume ratio is quite reasonable. I've been using it as a moisturizer substitute, but for that purpose, it seems just average. I plan to switch to a more functional product in a similar or lower price range. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 9, 2020
Hydrating, absorbs well, no need to rinse off, hygienic, can be used as an eye cream substitute, and excellent at removing dead skin cells... This mask works hard! There's nothing to dislike about this product. It's simply impossible. This product is the best! Try using it on darkened knees and elbows. I guarantee that in a week, they'll be pink and soft. Your skin will thank you! - ha*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedApr 22, 2020
Absorbs well, doesn't cause blemishes, and leaves skin moisturized the next day. Even though I have oily skin, applying it generously at night feels amazing... so smooth! I've been using it well, and in winter, I used it as a moisturizer. I had a couple of small pimples, but they didn't increase, and I was satisfied using it. It felt a bit heavy in summer, though. I've been using it for about 8 years now. I tried switching to other hydrating products... but when I completely changed to different products, I ended up with contact dermatitis and my skin was a mess. I need to go back to this! The slightly thick texture and the price? These days, there are so many good creams at reasonable prices and eco-friendly products, you know~ Apply generously in the evening. Use it not only at night but also in the morning on areas that need hydration. It works great as an eye cream substitute too! - he***Combination SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinApr 17, 2020
I got to try this product as a free full-size gift with a purchase over $120 from Paula's Choice (can't remember the exact amount). Thankfully, I didn't have to spend money on it directly. As soon as I applied it, my skin started tingling and burning. I thought it might settle down if I waited a bit, but then beads of sweat started forming all over my face. Realizing this wasn't good, I tried to rinse it off with water, but it wouldn't wash away easily. I had to use a cleanser to remove it completely. Reluctant to waste it, I gave it another try, but the same reaction occurred. I then passed it on to a friend without sensitive skin, but even she complained about the tingling sensation and refused to use it. It ended up going straight into the trash.
