When you think of Paula's Choice, what comes to mind? Everyone around me seems to answer with AHA and BHA. I've actually tried their BHA Liquid before, so I was really curious about the AHA Gel! Paula's Choice Skin Perfecting 8% AHA Gel is a hydrating exfoliant that helps care for rough skin texture and uneven complexion. It's a leave-on type that absorbs into the skin rather than being washed off. Since it contains AHA, you do need to be careful about initial irritation. The level of sensitivity might vary depending on your skin type. Surprisingly, I hardly felt any irritation when I first used it. Talk about being lucky! Even though I didn't experience much initial irritation, I decided to use it consistently. After about a week, I definitely noticed that dead skin cells weren't forming as much and my skin texture became smoother. To be honest, I've been using quite a few high-concentration skincare products from Paula's Choice lately, so I'm not sure if it's solely due to this product... but I definitely felt a difference before and after using it. I was actually worried that the gel type might feel sticky afterwards, which can sometimes happen, but I didn't experience any discomfort in terms of how it felt during application or after it settled. Paula's Choice seems to be a brand that really nails the user experience, even with their high-concentration products.
