This product has gentle ingredients, which is rare for Japanese skincare! While the foam dissipates quickly when using a foam net, its cleansing effectiveness is still decent. It's so mild that I'm comfortably using it both morning and night. To be honest, I didn't see much improvement in my pores. The same goes for the Herb Skin from the same brand. And I was shocked by how expensive it is in Korea! It's also disappointing that it crumbles easily. Actually, Chinoshio-ya isn't famous in Japan but more popular in Korea. They only have offline stores in Kumamoto. Their famous cleansing oil is made in Japan but only sold in Korea, not in Japan! If you're buying in Japan, it's cheaper on Amazon than the official site. (Currently priced at 734 yen for 2 pieces) Also, like me, if you keep it in a hanging foam net for soap storage, it's convenient and great for creating lather. - se*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJul 9, 2022
My skin has improved tremendously since I started using this! When I lather it up and gently massage with a pore brush, my skin becomes absolutely flawless! I was so stressed because my skin was completely acting up, but now I don't have to worry about breakouts ever again. If I had 20 blemishes before, now I have zero! Highly recommended! There are absolutely no downsides whatsoever! I also purchased the Mediheal serum to use in addition to this, and when I apply it after, my skin becomes incredibly smooth. I think it's the perfect combination of this cleanser and the serum. - sb******Oily SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedAug 20, 2021
The fact that it doesn't contain oil is a plus... The foam is quite rich. Its cleansing effectiveness is weak, and the foam isn't firm, collapsing easily, making it difficult to feel thoroughly clean. It has no effect on pores whatsoever. It doesn't cleanse well, so if you're not careful, you might end up with blemishes again. Use with a foaming net - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedDec 23, 2020
1. I've been using this for years because of its excellent cleansing effectiveness. 2. It's great for managing pores. 1. After exposure to water, as it dries, the surface tends to crack. 2. After using it for a while, the foam density noticeably decreases. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinNov 10, 2020
While using this, I didn't experience any new blemishes (though I'm not typically prone to them, so it's hard to say for sure). It definitely leaves my skin feeling thoroughly cleansed. I didn't notice any reduction in pore size or oil control that the product claims to provide. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinRecommendedJul 3, 2020
After washing, my skin feels smooth and soft. It's gentle and doesn't irritate my sensitive skin. When I use it as a second cleanse after soap, my face feels squeaky clean. The downside is that my skin tends to feel dry quickly after cleansing... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedMay 27, 2020
I've been using this cleansing bar, often called the 'pore soap', consistently for over 3 years. - Performance It has excellent cleansing effectiveness, removing impurities and regulating sebum. Using it with a foam net doubles its cleansing power (though it lathers well even without one, so I usually use it without). - Sensitivity As someone with super sensitive skin, I love that it doesn't cause any blemishes. For those with sensitive and dry skin types, I recommend using it no more than 3 times a week. - Design Personally, I find its subtle ash color and minimalist square shape quite appealing. - Deep dryness Due to its powerful cleansing ability, it can cause some deep dryness. That's why I only use it up to 3 times a week. - Moisture You need to regularly manage the soap dish or holder to prevent water from pooling. If left in standing water, the soap becomes relatively weak and wears out faster. + I tried keeping it in the shower for about a month, and whether it's from the wet soap drying or not, cracks appeared all over the surface. The once minimalist soap becomes unsightly. I don't recommend keeping it in the shower. - A very personal tip After applying the rich lather from a foam net to your face, wait a few minutes, then use slightly dampened silk cocoons to gently exfoliate in circular motions. This seems like a great gift for friends interested in organic cosmetics and skincare. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 24, 2020
I was really stressed about all the blackheads on my nose, but this soap has made such a difference! I'm definitely repurchasing when I run out. It's a bit challenging to work up a lather without a foam net, unfortunately. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinFeb 22, 2020
It was truly amazing! I could feel my skin improving, which was absolutely fantastic. It felt like a lot of moisture was escaping, which left me feeling a bit uneasy. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 13, 2019
As someone with super sensitive skin, I can't use just any foam cleanser, so I've been using natural soaps. I was worried about how to manage my pores, and when I found this soap with zero trendy ingredients at a reasonable price, I decided to give it a try. First off, it's fragrance-free, and the feel is incredibly clean. There are two bars in one box, and I'm already using the second one without any issues. I highly recommend this to those with sensitive skin! Let's take care of our pores together! While it works well for me, the soap tends to harden if you don't keep it moist for long periods. I use it routinely morning and night. It's a great soap for everyday use!
