To be honest, I'm not sure about the advantages of this toner. Recently, due to the changing seasons, my skin has been dry, so I've been using toner for cleansing. Before pouring my usual cleansing toner into the sink, I pour this one in first as a disinfectant for the basin. On the bright side, it's a bit of a life hack to use it for other purposes. If you use a moderate amount, it doesn't cause blemishes and is somewhat usable, which is why I've given it three stars. 1. It's drying. Perhaps due to the alcohol content, the skin becomes extremely dry after use. If you think of it like other water-based toners and try to layer it on your skin, you'll likely experience increasing tightness on your face. In this respect, it doesn't seem to function well as a toner. 2. The smell is... unpleasant. I've always thought I could handle toners with divisive scents and generally considered myself not too sensitive to smells. But this one is truly unbearable. Don't expect it to smell like regular alcohol just because it's an alcohol toner. It has more of a harmful industrial chemical or ethanol-like odor. Since it's an alcohol-based toner, it can also be used as a disinfectant! Thayers toner is often used by people with blemish-prone skin, right? It's great for disinfecting the skin before and after extracting blemishes, as well as for sterilizing extraction tools. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinMar 24, 2016
It's decent. I can't really feel the moisturizing effect, but it doesn't cause any trouble, so I'm using it. It's average. There's no moisturizing effect... - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinFeb 9, 2016
The large capacity is a plus. There were no troubles. It's good for light wiping. The fragrance-free nature allows for carefree use. Since it's just a watery form, it may cause a tightening sensation on dry skin. I have oily skin and bought the large size for cleansing purposes, so I didn't find it to be a major drawback. You can also put it in a mist bottle and use it as a mist substitute! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinAug 1, 2015
I previously purchased the large-size version of the Sayer's product from iHerb. It provided a refreshing moisture boost and had a calming effect on my skin. While it's a bit lightweight, which can be both an advantage and a disadvantage, it's an all-around great product that I'll definitely repurchase. By using it in combination with another cream that provides sufficient oil, I can maintain a good balance without dryness. For reference, I have an oily T-zone and a normal-to-dry cheek area, resulting in a sensitive, combination skin type. I was concerned about potential irritation from any alcohol scent, but I didn't experience any issues with breakouts. The product provided a refreshing, mattifying effect, but I felt like it also drew away some of the moisture. It seems like I'll need to apply a sufficient amount of a richer cream on top to prevent dryness. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 18, 2015
Just like the Unscented, I remember it being unscented as well. It's generally fine and unremarkable. Like the Unscented, it also had good sales, so I bought it. But in my opinion, the Lavender is the life-changing toner. It works well and doesn't cause any trouble. There's nothing particularly bad about it, but the Unscented is a bit better than the Original. The Original has a slightly strange smell. While both are unscented, the Unscented is a bit better. If I had to compare the two,
